Full job description

QA Automation Intern (Stipend Only) – Hybrid / Remote – 6 Months

Location: (Hybrid / Remote)

Duration: 6 months

Job Type: Internship (Stipend-based)

Work Mode: Hybrid / Remote

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated QA Automation Intern to join our engineering team and support quality assurance activities for our software products. This is a stipend-only internship; there is no salary component. The intern will work closely with developers and QA engineers to design, execute, and automate test cases, ensuring high-quality releases.

Key Responsibilities

Design and execute manual and automated test cases for web and backend applications.
Develop and maintain automation scripts using tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar frameworks.
Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA or similar bug-tracking systems.
Participate in test planning, including test case creation, review, and coverage analysis.
Perform regression and sanity testing for new features and bug fixes.
Collaborate with developers to reproduce issues, validate fixes, and improve test coverage.
Learn and apply QA best practices, including test design, CI/CD integration, and reporting.

What We Expect

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
Basic understanding of software testing concepts (test cases, regression, severity vs priority).
Familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).
Exposure (academic or project-based) to automation testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work in a team and communicate clearly.

Preferred (Not Mandatory)

Experience with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured, etc.).
Basic knowledge of SQL for data validation.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
Understanding of Agile development practices.

Internship Details

Duration: 6 months (extendable based on performance and business needs).
Work Mode: Hybrid / Remote (flexible arrangement as per team policy).
Stipend: Fixed monthly stipend (amount not disclosed in the post; details shared during onboarding).
No salary or wage component; this is a stipend-based internship opportunity only.
Potential for full-time offer / PPO based on performance and business needs (if applicable).
