Position: MIS Executive

Location: Auckland Place, AJC Bose Road, Kolkata
Department: Accounts & Finance / Management Information System (MIS)
Industry: Real Estate & Construction

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical MIS Executive with a strong Accounts & Finance background to support the management team through accurate financial and operational reporting. The incumbent will be responsible for collecting, consolidating, validating, and analysing accounting and project-related data received from various professional teams, including Projects, Procurement, Contracts, Sales, HR, and Accounts.

The role involves preparing periodic MIS reports, project financial statements, management dashboards, and progress reports that provide meaningful insights into project performance, budget utilisation, cash flow, and overall business operations. The ideal candidate should possess excellent analytical skills, strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and the ability to coordinate effectively with multiple departments while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

Collect, compile, verify, and consolidate accounting and operational data from Projects, Procurement, Contracts, Accounts, Sales, HR, and other functional departments.
Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, Procurement, and Finance teams to ensure timely submission of project and financial information.
Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly MIS reports for senior management.
Prepare project-wise financial reports, including project costs, budget utilisation, expenditure, billing, collections, profitability, and cash flow analysis.
Monitor project progress against approved budgets and timelines and report variances with appropriate analysis.
Consolidate project status reports, procurement updates, contract progress, material consumption, and financial performance into comprehensive management dashboards.
Prepare periodic management reports highlighting project progress, financial performance, operational efficiency, pending activities, and key business metrics.
Assist the Accounts & Finance department in budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and management reporting.
Monitor project-wise receivables, payables, purchase commitments, and expenditure in coordination with the Finance team.
Analyse data trends, identify discrepancies, and provide meaningful insights to support business decisions.
Develop and improve MIS reports, dashboards, and reporting templates using advanced Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools.
Maintain complete accuracy, confidentiality, and integrity of business data and reports.
Support management during audits, management reviews, and board meetings by providing timely and accurate reports.
Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of project records, financial reports, and MIS databases.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
M.Com, MBA (Finance), or relevant professional qualifications will be an added advantage.

Experience

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience is mandatory in MIS reporting, preferably within the Real Estate, Construction, Infrastructure, or Engineering industry.
Strong background in Accounts & Finance with practical knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Experience in preparing project MIS, financial reports, management dashboards, and analytical reports.
Experience in coordinating with cross-functional teams and handling large volumes of financial and operational data.

Technical Skills

Advanced Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Pivot Charts, XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, SUMIFS, IF Functions, Conditional Formatting, Dashboards, Power Query)
Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
ERP Software (Tally, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent)
Basic knowledge of Power BI will be an added advantage.
Strong understanding of project costing, budgeting, financial statements, and MIS reporting.

Compensation

Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications, experience, and company policy.

Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

Circus Avenue, Kolkata, West Bengal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
