JOB DESCRIPTION
Take a lead role in acquiring, managing and retaining meaningful relationships that deliver outstanding experience to our customers. In this role, you will balance your focus on business results by offering options and finding solutions to help our customers with issues.
As a Senior UX Design, Associate on our WLS team, you will engage in the full range of design practice activities, from up-front research, insights, and strategy to ideation, prototyping, and testing, through to delivery of final designs. You will be a part of multi-disciplinary teams, including Researchers and Service Designers. You will also participate in cross-functional collaboration with Product Managers and Engineers. We expect you to have strengths in the core interaction design parts of this process, and a desire to continually broaden and improve your skills.
Our team, which sits within JP Morgan's institutional bank (serving corporate clients), leverages emerging technologies to develop and refine the tools considered most essential to the users that keep this business at the top of the industry.
Job Responsibilities
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

Bachelor's Degree in relevant design discipline (e.g., Interaction Design, HCI, User Experience Design), certification from credible bootcamp or similar accelerated learning program, or equivalent work experience

Minimum of three years of relevant work experience

Plans and structures their own work, executing quality work within expected time frames

Demonstrated experience with user-centered design approaches

Prior work involves collaboration within design teams (with other designers, UX researchers, and content designers) and cross-functionally with product managers and software engineers

Demonstrates strong Interaction Design skills paired with proficiency in Visual/UI Design or Information Architecture; Development in adjacent skills such as User Research, UX Writing, and Prototyping

Experience using AI tools to augment the design process (e.g., LLMs, FIgma Make, Vs Code or others).

Able to show how your understanding of technical constraints and opportunities informed your design solutions

Intermediate communication and presentation skills, including articulating the rationale behind design decisions within the team
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

Prior experience designing applications within complex business domains (financial services, other)

Developing understanding of Accessibility Guidelines and Inclusive Design practices

Has shipped digital products or a launch-ready prototype

Understanding of basic technical context of their designs; familiar with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

Foundational understanding of business needs, and how design connects with it
