Job Title: Accounts Manager (Chartered Accountant)

Role Overview

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Chartered Accountant to join our Finance team as an Accounts Manager. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in financial reporting, taxation, statutory compliance, audits, and financial controls. This role offers an opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams and leadership in a fast-paced startup environment.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and finalize financial statements in accordance with Ind AS, including schedules, notes to accounts, and supporting workings.
Manage month-end and year-end financial closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Prepare MIS reports, financial dashboards, variance analysis, and management reports to support business decision-making.
Handle end-to-end GST compliance, including preparation and filing of GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, reconciliations, and resolution of GST-related issues.
Manage complete TDS compliance, including applicability analysis, deduction, payment, quarterly return filing, and reconciliations.
Coordinate with statutory, tax, and internal auditors by preparing audit schedules, responding to audit queries, and ensuring timely completion of audits.
Ensure compliance with direct and indirect tax regulations and maintain audit-ready documentation.
Perform vendor reconciliations, balance confirmations, and periodic account reviews.
Support implementation and interpretation of accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Prepare financial forecasts, budgeting support, and analytical reports to improve business performance.
Identify opportunities to strengthen internal controls, automate finance processes, and improve operational efficiency.
Coordinate with banks, consultants, and regulatory authorities whenever required.
Take ownership of finance and compliance activities while ensuring adherence to reporting timelines.

Desired Skills

Strong knowledge of Ind AS, Companies Act, GST, TDS, Income Tax, and financial reporting.
Experience in statutory audit coordination and financial statement preparation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP software.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a dynamic startup environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
