You will join our Finance department and lead indirect procurement activities across India, the US and Denmark. You will be part of a global procurement environment, working closely with business stakeholders, finance, legal, project teams and external suppliers to deliver compliant, cost-effective and value-driven procurement solutions. The role requires a strong combination of strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, contract governance, stakeholder partnering and operational execution across multiple geographies.
As Lead Indirect Procurement, you will own and drive procurement governance for indirect spend categories such as facility services, IT, HR services, Legal services, travel, administration, consulting and other non-production goods and services. You will develop procurement processes, mitigate supplier and commercial risks, and ensure that procurement practices are aligned with business priorities, local statutory requirements and global policies.

How you might spend your days (Main Roles & Responsibilities)
As Lead Indirect Procurement, you will work with a dynamic, multi-disciplinary and cross-border team. Your daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Lead end-to-end indirect procurement activities across India, the US and Denmark, covering sourcing, supplier selection, commercial negotiation, contracting, purchase order governance and supplier performance management.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships and act as the procurement lead and escalation point for complex supplier negotiations, contract renewals, service-level discussions and commercial risk matters across the three countries.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to understand demand, consolidate requirements, challenge specifications where appropriate and deliver procurement solutions that balance cost, quality, risk, compliance and business continuity.
- Drive standardization and continuous improvement of procurement processes, templates, governance forums, approval flows, supplier onboarding, contract repositories and reporting across the global indirect procurement scope.
- Ensure compliance with global procurement policies, local regulatory requirements, ethical sourcing principles, delegation of authority, contract governance and audit requirements.
- Lead cost optimization initiatives by identifying savings opportunities, conducting market benchmarking, negotiating improved commercial terms and tracking value delivery against agreed targets.
- Work closely with finance, legal, tax, information security, facilities, HR and business teams to manage procurement risk, supplier due diligence, data protection considerations and country-specific contracting needs.
- Prepare procurement dashboards, spend analyses, supplier performance reports, compliance reports and management updates for senior stakeholders.
- Support procurement transformation initiatives, including ERP adoption, procure-to-pay process improvements, automation, policy deployment and stakeholder training.
- Coach and guide procurement specialists or business users on sourcing practices, contract compliance, supplier engagement and purchase-to-pay discipline.
The miles you’ve walked (Education and Work Experience)
To succeed as Lead Indirect Procurement, you should bring strong procurement experience, commercial judgement and the ability to operate effectively across countries, cultures and stakeholder groups. The role requires both strategic thinking and hands-on execution:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Law, Commerce or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of procurement experience, with significant experience in indirect procurement, strategic sourcing, category management and supplier relationship management.
- Experience managing procurement across multiple countries or regions, preferably including India, the US and Europe/Denmark.
- Strong understanding of indirect spend categories, sourcing methodologies, supplier evaluation, commercial negotiation and contract lifecycle management.
- Ability to manage commercial, legal, tax, compliance and information security considerations in supplier engagements.
- Proven track record of delivering savings, improving supplier performance, reducing procurement risk and strengthening governance.
- Hands-on experience with ERP, procurement systems, purchase-to-pay processes, spend analytics, dashboards and reporting tools.
- CIPS, CPSM, CPM, CSCP, Lean, Six Sigma or equivalent procurement/project management certification will be an added advantage.
- Excellent command of English, with the ability to prepare clear business cases, supplier communications, contract summaries and management reports.

- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, facilitation and communication skills.
- Commercially minded, analytical and comfortable working with data, contracts, risk assessments and business cases.
- Proactive, structured and able to drive change, standardization and process maturity in a global procurement environment.
- Collaborative and service-oriented, with the confidence to challenge requirements constructively and recommend value-adding alternatives.
- Comfortable working across time zones and cultures, with sensitivity to local business practices and global governance requirements.
