Role description

Job Description – Java Production Support Engineer

Experience: 5–7 Years
Location: Trivandram
Employment Type: Full-Time

Role Overview

We are looking for a Java Production Support Engineer with 5–7 years of experience to support and maintain critical production applications. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in Java, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work in a 24x7 production support environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide production support for Java-based applications and ensure high system availability.
Monitor application performance and troubleshoot production issues.
Analyze, debug, and resolve incidents within defined SLAs.
Coordinate with development, infrastructure, and business teams to resolve application issues.
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.
Support application deployments, patches, and production releases.
Create and maintain support documentation, runbooks, and knowledge articles.
Participate in on-call and 24x7 production support rotations.

Required Skills

5–7 years of experience in Java application support or development.
Strong knowledge of Java and application troubleshooting.
Experience in Production Support for enterprise applications.
Good understanding of Unix/Linux environments.
Basic knowledge of Shell Scripting.
Strong analytical, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Willingness to work in a 24x7 production support environment.

Good to Have

Experience with incident management and monitoring tools.
Knowledge of SQL and database troubleshooting.
Exposure to ITIL processes and support methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience supporting large-scale enterprise applications.
