Backend/Web Developer Job Overview :
We are seeking a skilled Backend/Web Developer to serve as the central technical owner for website operations across our multi-brand organization. You will manage, maintain, and develop 50+ websites and landing pages, handle backend systems, manage hosting infrastructure, and ensure seamless integration across multiple platforms. This is a critical role requiring strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain 50+ websites and landing pages across multiple brands in the EBG portfolio
- Handle website updates, enhancements, debugging, and troubleshooting across all digital properties
- Work with multiple platforms including WordPress, Shopify, Framer, and custom-coded websites
- Develop, maintain, and optimize backend systems using Node.js for scalability and performance
- Manage hosting infrastructure, domains, DNS records, SSL certificates, and server configurations
- Work with GoDaddy, cloud hosting platforms (AWS, Azure, DigitalOcean), and deployment environments
- Implement and maintain website security best practices, conduct regular security audits, and ensure compliance
- Handle API integrations, CRM integrations, payment gateway integrations, and third-party tool connections
- Support front-end updates, landing page development, and rapid campaign requirements
- Maintain GitHub repositories, manage version control, and establish efficient deployment workflows
- Monitor website performance, uptime metrics, and overall technical health across all properties
- Ensure automated backups, disaster recovery systems, and robust recovery processes are in place
- Collaborate with marketing, design, product, and business teams to translate website requirements
- Document technical processes, create runbooks, and mentor junior developers on best practices
Required Skills & Experience
- 3–5 years of professional web development experience with strong backend focus
- Strong proficiency in Node.js for backend development and server-side programming
- Hands-on experience with WordPress, Shopify, Framer, and custom website development
- Strong command of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern web technologies
- Proven experience with GitHub and version control systems (Git/GitFlow)
- Deep understanding of hosting environments, DNS configuration, SSL/TLS, and server management
- Solid knowledge of website security, performance optimization, and systematic debugging
- Experience designing and implementing REST APIs and integrating third-party services
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated experience managing and scaling multiple websites simultaneously
- Exposure to automation tools, CI/CD pipelines, and workflow optimization techniques
- Understanding of technical SEO implementation and performance optimization
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and containerization (Docker)
- Knowledge of database management (SQL and NoSQL databases)
- Familiarity with CMS architecture and plugin development
- Experience with e-commerce platforms and payment gateway integrations
- Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, multi-brand startup environments

Serve as the single point of contact for technical decisions and maintain the health, reliability, and continuous improvement of all digital properties.
