Job Description – Adult Physiotherapist

Position: Adult Physiotherapist
Department: NEST Pain and Palliative Care
Location: Koyilandy, Kozhikode, Kerala
Employment Type: Full-Time
Experience: Minimum 1 year preferred
Qualification: Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) or Master of Physiotherapy (MPT)

Key Responsibilities

Assess adult and geriatric patients and develop individualized physiotherapy treatment plans.
Provide physiotherapy interventions for neurological, orthopedic, musculoskeletal, post-operative, and palliative care patients.
Conduct home visits for physiotherapy services as per the assigned schedule.
Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility techniques, posture correction, and preventive care.
Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans based on clinical outcomes.
Maintain accurate patient assessment reports, treatment records, and daily documentation.
Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Ensure adherence to infection control practices, patient safety standards, and organizational protocols.
Participate in community outreach programs, health camps, awareness initiatives, and rehabilitation activities when required.
Submit daily treatment reports and other departmental documentation on time.

Eligibility Criteria

BPT or MPT from a recognized institution.
Minimum 1 year of clinical experience preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Willingness to travel for home care visits.
Basic computer knowledge for documentation and reporting.
