IT Operations & Desktop Support Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT Operations & Desktop Support Engineer to manage the organization’s complete IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end IT operations, including hardware and software support, network administration, IT asset management, vendor coordination, web development support, cybersecurity, and user assistance. The candidate must possess excellent English communication skills and be capable of interacting professionally with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities
IT Infrastructure & Operations
- Manage day-to-day IT operations across the organization.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and other IT peripherals.
- Administer Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, email clients, and business applications.
- Monitor system performance and ensure high availability of IT services.
- Manage IT inventory, asset tracking, warranty records, and software licenses.
- Hardware & Network Management
- Diagnose and resolve hardware failures and perform component replacements.
- Configure and maintain LAN, Wi-Fi, routers, switches, firewalls and internet connectivity.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance and ensure optimal hardware performance.
- Handle backup systems, data recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
User Support
- Provide first- and second-level technical support to employees.
- Resolve hardware, software, network, and application-related issues within defined SLAs.
- Prepare user documentation and conduct basic IT awareness sessions.
Web Development & Digital Platforms
- Manage and maintain the company’s website.
- Coordinate with web developers and hosting providers for enhancements and issue resolution.
- Possess working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, WordPress, or similar CMS platforms.
- Support integrations, domain management, SSL certificates, and web hosting activities.
Vendor Management
- Coordinate with IT hardware, software, internet, telecom, and service vendors.
- Obtain quotations, negotiate pricing, process procurements, and monitor vendor performance.
- Ensure timely AMC renewals and service delivery.
Information Security
- Implement endpoint security, antivirus, and access control policies.
- Monitor system security and recommend improvements.
- Ensure regular backups and compliance with IT security standards.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain IT policies, SOPs, asset registers, licenses, and configuration documentation.
- Generate periodic reports on IT operations, incidents, and infrastructure status.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and desktop administration.
- Hands-on experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.
- Good understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi).
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Outlook, and cloud-based applications.
- Working knowledge of website management, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and CMS platforms.
- Experience in IT vendor management and procurement coordination.
- Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and endpoint protection.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple IT projects simultaneously.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of experience in IT Operations, Desktop Support, or System Administration.
- Relevant certifications in IT
- Communication Requirements
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills are mandatory.
- Ability to communicate confidently with senior management, employees, vendors, and external stakeholders.
- Strong presentation, documentation, and email etiquette skills.

Pay: From ₹30,000.00 per month
