Summary
UST is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Python Full Stack Developer with 5-7 years of experience in designing, developing, deploying, and supporting enterprise-scale cloud-native applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Python, FastAPI, React, TypeScript, AWS cloud services, distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and modern DevOps practices. This role requires a hands-on engineering professional who can contribute across the full software development lifecycle while ensuring scalability, reliability, security, observability, and performance of business-critical applications.
The Opportunity
As a Python Full Stack Developer, you will play a key role in designing and building modern cloud-native applications on AWS. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and resilient solutions leveraging microservices, event-driven architecture, and cloud-native technologies while driving engineering excellence and continuous improvement.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python and FastAPI.
· Build responsive, intuitive, and high-performing user interfaces using React and TypeScript.
· Design and implement RESTful APIs following OpenAPI standards and best practices. · Develop and support cloud-native applications deployed on AWS ECS and AWS Lambda.
· Build highly scalable and resilient distributed systems using event-driven architecture patterns.
· Work extensively with AWS services including API Gateway, Application Load Balancer (ALB), DynamoDB, Aurora PostgreSQL, S3, SNS, and SQS.
· Design and implement asynchronous event-driven integrations across microservices. · Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines.
- Apply DevSecOps principles to ensure secure application development and deployment.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize applications using observability and monitoring tools.
- Perform root cause analysis for production incidents and implement preventive measures.
- Ensure high levels of application availability, scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Develop automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Participate in Agile development activities including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and code reviews.
- Work closely with architects, product owners, and engineering teams to define technical solutions.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, security requirements, and engineering best practices.
What you need
- Minimum 5-9 years of hands-on experience in software development.
- Strong expertise in Python and FastAPI development.
- Strong experience in React and TypeScript-based frontend development.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
- Experience working with OpenAPI specifications and API-driven development.
- Strong experience with AWS cloud-native services and deployments.
- Experience building and supporting distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with messaging and integration services such as SNS and SQS.
- Hands-on experience with containerized deployments and ECS.
- Experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of DevSecOps principles and secure software development practices.
- Experience with observability, monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting in production environments.
- Knowledge of database design and optimization using DynamoDB and PostgreSQL.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in Agile development environments.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Desired Skills: · Experience with Axway API Management platform.
· Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation. · Experience with container orchestration and cloud-native architecture patterns.
- Exposure to observability tools and monitoring frameworks.
- Experience in application performance tuning and performance engineering.
- AWS Certifications preferred.
- Experience working in highly regulated or enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with serverless architecture best practices.
Qualification: · Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
