Conduct data breach and security incident investigations for client engagements — scoping, acquisition, examination and findings, on the record from the first hour

Recover and examine data from computers, mobile devices and electronic storage — including damaged or deliberately wiped media where reconstruction is possible

Identify additional compromised systems and networks beyond the known blast radius, so the client’s remediation covers the real intrusion, not the visible one

Compile evidence for legal cases: draft technical reports, write declarations and prepare evidence packages that attorneys can actually use

Advise counsel and client leadership on electronic evidence — what it proves, what it cannot, and what it would take to challenge

Support the cyber cell’s live threat work — forensics-grade attribution context on attacks touching client surface

Train client-side teams and internal juniors on evidence-handling procedure, so the next incident starts on the right foot
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Cyber Forensics Expert at CryptoMize you will conduct data breach and security incident investigations, recover and examine data from computers and electronic storage devices, and compile evidence for legal cases. The role rebuilds what happened from what remains — dismantling damaged systems where necessary to retrieve lost data — and every step is documented so the finding survives challenge.
Quality assurance is a standing duty at evidentiary grade: most organizations discover forensic mistakes when a case has already collapsed, but here experts intercept them upstream — in the acquisition plan, the verification hashes and the examination notes. You will maintain the chain of custody that lets any conclusion we present be reconstructed artifact by artifact, on demand, in front of counsel.
Experts also carry institutional responsibility for the bench: advising on the credibility of acquired data, training internal juniors and client-side officers on evidence procedure, and reviewing each other’s packages before release. The experts who make the whole bench defensible are the ones promoted first.
