Role Overview
We are looking for a Business Analyst Intern with a strong interest in skincare, beauty products, consumer behavior, and AI-powered personalization.
The intern will work closely with the Product, Business, and Beauty Intelligence teams to research skincare products, understand consumer needs, support skin curation and recommendation logic, analyze business requirements, and assist in translating business problems into actionable insights.
This role is ideal for someone who is curious about skincare + technology + data + business and wants hands-on exposure to how AI-driven beauty products are built and commercialized.
Key Responsibilities
Skincare & Product Research
- Research skincare products across categories such as cleansers, moisturizers, serums, sunscreens, treatments, and masks.
- Study product ingredients, claims, benefits, skin concerns, skin types, and usage recommendations.
- Build and maintain structured databases of skincare products and their attributes.
- Research brands, competitors, product launches, pricing, positioning, and market trends.
- Analyze product labels, ingredient lists, and available product information.
Skin Curation & Personalization
- Assist in mapping skincare products to different skin types, skin concerns, conditions, and user requirements.
- Support the creation and refinement of skincare curation frameworks and product recommendation logic.
- Research ingredient-to-skin-concern relationships and identify relevant product combinations.
- Help evaluate whether recommended products are relevant for specific consumer profiles.
- Work with product and AI teams to improve the quality and relevance of personalized skincare recommendations.
Business Analysis
- Understand business requirements and convert them into structured documentation.
- Conduct market and competitor research to identify opportunities and gaps.
- Analyze customer and product data to identify trends and actionable insights.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, presentations, and business summaries.
- Assist in identifying operational and product improvement opportunities.
- Support teams with data-backed decision-making.
Product & AI Support
- Work with Product and Technology teams to define requirements for new features.
- Assist in documenting user journeys, business requirements, workflows, and use cases.
- Help test AI-powered beauty and skincare features and document observations.
- Identify gaps, inconsistencies, and improvement areas in product recommendations and user experiences.
- Participate in product testing and provide structured feedback.
Other Business Requirements
- Support ad-hoc research and analysis required by the management and business teams.
- Assist with preparing business presentations and internal reports.
- Support new business initiatives, partnerships, and client requirements.
- Conduct research on emerging beauty-tech and AI trends.
- Take ownership of smaller analytical projects from research through execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or currently pursuing a degree
- Strong interest in skincare, beauty, cosmetics, and consumer products.
- Good analytical and research skills.
- Strong attention to detail, especially when working with product and ingredient information.
- Good understanding of Excel/Google Sheets.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to organize large amounts of information in a structured manner.
- Curious mindset with the ability to learn independently.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Good to Have
- Prior experience or interest in skincare, cosmetics, dermatology, beauty retail, or D2C brands.
- Knowledge of common skincare ingredients and their functions.
- Familiarity with Excel/Google Sheets, data analysis, or visualization tools.
- Basic understanding of AI, machine learning, recommendation systems, or personalization.
- Experience with market research or competitor analysis.
- Strong interest in consumer technology and beauty-tech.

This is a hands-on role, and the candidate will have the opportunity to contribute directly to Orbo.ai's skincare intelligence, product curation, personalization, and broader business initiatives.
Pay: ₹5,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
