Assistant Manager – Operations (Academic & Research Writing)

Role Purpose The Assistant Manager – Operations (Academic & Research Writing)
They will be responsible for managing academic writers and ensuring high-quality, well-structured, plagiarism-free academic content is delivered accurately and on time.
The role will focus on writer productivity, workload allocation, quality control, deadline management, reporting, and maintaining low revision and complaint rates.
Key Responsibilities ∙
Manage and support a team of Academic Writers to achieve quality and productivity targets. ∙
Allocate academic projects to writers based on subject expertise, workload, and delivery timelines. ∙
Review and ensure academic projects follow the required structure, including essays, reports, case studies, dissertations, and other academic documents. ∙
Check the accuracy and consistency of academic referencing styles, including APA, Harvard, MLA, and Chicago. ∙
Monitor plagiarism control and ensure content meets required academic quality standards. ∙Conduct or coordinate pre-delivery quality checks with Team Leaders. ∙Ensure balanced workload distribution and consistent writer engagement. ∙
Track daily team productivity through word count, assignments completed, deadlines, revisions, and other operational metrics. ∙
Monitor project timelines and ensure work is delivered within agreed deadlines. ∙Identify recurring quality issues, revision patterns, and writer performance gaps. ∙
Identify training requirements related to referencing, formatting, academic structure, and academic argument building. ∙Support writers through feedback, guidance, and performance improvement initiatives. ∙
Maintain and update productivity and performance trackers using Excel or Google Sheets. ∙Prepare and share daily and weekly performance reports with the Operations Manager. ∙Ensure compliance with company SOPs, reporting processes, quality standards, and confidentiality requirements. ∙
Maintain confidentiality of client information, academic material, and internal business data. ∙Coordinate with relevant internal teams to resolve operational or quality-related issues. ∙
Contribute to improving team productivity, reducing revisions and complaints, and maintaining strong on- time delivery performance.

Educational Qualification-
Graduate or postgraduate qualification in Management, Humanities, Commerce, Law, Nursing, or a related field is preferred, in line with the academic subject areas handled by the team.
Experience
1–4 years of experience in academic writing, academic editing, Quality checking, or handling academic writers.
Prior experience in a team-lead, senior academic writer, academic editor, or operations-related role will be relevant.
Experience managing writer productivity, work allocation, quality checks, or academic content delivery will be preferred.

Pay: ₹15,306.92 - ₹58,626.24 per month
