Job Description

Position: E-commerce Marketplace Specialist

Department: E-commerce & Digital Commerce

Role Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and performance-driven E-commerce Marketplace Specialist to manage and grow our presence across leading e-commerce marketplaces and quick commerce platforms. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in marketplace operations, product listing optimization, performance marketing, inventory planning, and sales growth. This role will work closely with the Founder, Marketing, and Operations teams to drive business growth and enhance the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end marketplace operations, including product listings, catalog management, inventory synchronization, pricing updates, promotional campaigns, and deal registrations across multiple e-commerce and quick commerce platforms.
Optimize product listings with SEO-friendly titles, descriptions, keywords, high-quality images, videos, and compelling brand content to improve product visibility and conversion rates.
Monitor marketplace performance metrics such as GMV, AOV, Conversion Rate, ROAS, CAC, Units Sold, Order Defect Rate (ODR), and Customer Ratings, and prepare regular MIS reports and performance dashboards.
Plan, execute, and optimize marketplace advertising campaigns, sponsored promotions, flash sales, and platform-specific marketing initiatives to maximize sales and return on ad spend.
Manage customer reviews, ratings, returns, and service escalations to maintain excellent seller performance and customer satisfaction.
Conduct competitor analysis to evaluate pricing, assortment, promotions, and marketplace trends, and recommend strategies to improve market share and sales performance.
Ensure compliance with marketplace policies, product listing standards, Legal Metrology requirements, packaging guidelines, and operational SLAs.
Coordinate with the Operations and Supply Chain teams for inventory planning, stock replenishment, and demand forecasting to minimize stock-outs and overstock situations.
Work closely with the Product and Marketing teams to launch new SKUs, promotional bundles, subscription packs, and seasonal campaigns.
Coordinate marketplace integration with Shopify and other business systems to ensure accurate product, inventory, and order synchronization.
Continuously analyze marketplace performance and recommend data-driven improvements to increase sales, customer acquisition, and profitability.

Qualification

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, E-commerce, Commerce, Digital Marketing, or a related discipline.

Experience

2–5 years of hands-on experience in managing E-commerce Marketplaces and Quick Commerce platforms.
Experience in D2C brands, FMCG, Lifestyle, Fashion, Home Textiles, or Consumer Products will be preferred.
Hands-on experience with major marketplace seller portals is mandatory.

Required Skills

Strong understanding of marketplace operations, catalog management, pricing, promotions, and inventory management.
Good knowledge of marketplace performance metrics including GMV, AOV, CAC, ROAS, Conversion Rate, CTR, and ODR.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query, Dashboards, and Data Analysis).
Experience working with Google Analytics (GA4), Shopify, and marketplace seller dashboards.
Good understanding of digital marketing, SEO for product listings, and performance marketing fundamentals.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management abilities.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Experience managing D2C brands in the Home Textile, Lifestyle, Personal Care, or FMCG industry.
Knowledge of content optimization, product photography coordination, and listing enhancement.
Familiarity with AI-powered productivity and reporting tools will be an added advantage.
Results-oriented professional with a strong commercial mindset and focus on sales growth.
