Full job description

Responsible for evaluating, auditing, and ensuring the compliance of our inspection body with the ISO/IEC 17020 standard. This role involves conducting assessments, providing guidance, and assisting inspection bodies in maintaining the highest standards of quality and competence in their inspection activities.

Designation : Quality/ Technical Manager for ISO/IEC 17020
Section : Inspection Division
Qualification : 1. PhD/Master degree in Food or Dairy or Fisheries or Oil Technology or Biotechnology or Agriculture or Veterinary Sciences or Bio-chemistry or Microbiology or Chemistry or Hotel management or Catering technology from a recognised university.
2. Successful completion of Accredited Lead Auditor course in Food Safety Management System.
3. Proven experience in conducting assessments, audits, or inspections in accordance with relevant standards.
4. Sector specific knowledge of hygienic and sanitary practices, processing techniques, hazards identification and analysis and control and knowledge of contaminants and allergen.
Experience : 1. Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in inspection, auditing.
2. Prior experience working with inspection bodies, certification bodies, or accreditation bodies is a plus.

Responsibility

Conduct assessments and audits of our inspection body to determine compliance with ISO/IEC 17020 requirements.
Review inspection body documentation, procedures, and processes to assess their alignment with the standard.
Provide guidance and recommendations to inspection bodies for achieving and maintaining ISO/IEC 17020 compliance.
Collaborate with inspection bodies to address any deficiencies or non-conformities identified during assessments.
Evaluate the competence and qualifications of personnel involved in inspection activities.
Analyze and interpret relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines to ensure accurate assessment of inspection bodies.
Stay up-to-date with changes and updates to ISO/IEC 17020 and related standards.
Participate in the development and delivery of training programs related to ISO/IEC 17020 compliance.
Prepare assessment reports detailing findings, recommendations, and compliance status.
Assist in the development and improvement of internal processes for assessment and auditing.
Build and maintain positive relationships with inspection bodies, regulatory agencies, and industry stakeholders.
Provide expert advice on ISO/IEC 17020 compliance matters to internal teams and external clients.
