Graphic Designer & Video Editor

Company: Samrat Plywood Limited
Location: Head Office, Manimajra, Chandigarh
Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹30,000 per month

About Samrat Plywood Limited

Samrat Plywood Limited is a Chandigarh-based manufacturer and exporter of plywood and HPL (High Pressure Laminate) products, with a growing presence across India and international markets.

We are looking for a creative and energetic Graphic Designer & Video Editor who can create high-quality visual content for our brands, products, social media, websites, exhibitions and marketing campaigns.

The ideal candidate should have a strong eye for design, an understanding of current social media trends and the ability to convert ideas and product information into engaging visual content.

Key Responsibilities1. Graphic Design

Create creative and visually appealing designs for social media platforms.
Design posts, carousels, banners, brochures, catalogues and advertisements.
Create product-focused creatives for plywood, HPL, exterior cladding and other product categories.
Design creatives for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube and other digital platforms.
Develop creatives for marketing campaigns and product launches.
Design exhibition graphics, stand visuals, posters and promotional material.
Create presentations and other business communication material.
Edit and enhance product photographs and images.
Maintain consistency with Samrat's brand identity and visual guidelines.

2. Video Editing & Content Creation

Edit Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and other short-form videos.
Create product videos, promotional videos and educational content.
Edit videos from exhibitions, factory visits, installations and customer projects.
Add music, voiceovers, subtitles, transitions, graphics and visual effects.
Create before-and-after and product application videos.
Develop engaging video content explaining HPL, cladding, plywood and other products.
Convert long-form content into multiple short-form social media assets.
Assist in creating videos for international markets and export customers.

3. Social Media Creative Content

Work closely with the social media and marketing team to develop content ideas.
Create visually engaging content based on the monthly content calendar.
Understand Instagram and LinkedIn trends and adapt them for the company's brand.
Develop content around:
Product features
Applications
Projects
Customer installations
Company achievements
Exhibitions
Factory/production
Architectural inspiration
Educational content
Create content that is both visually attractive and commercially relevant.

4. Product & Brand Communication

Understand Samrat's products and convert technical information into easy-to-understand visual communication.
Create graphics that explain product benefits, specifications, certifications and applications.
Work with the marketing and sales teams to create sales-support material.
Ensure that all designs accurately represent the product and brand.
Develop creative concepts for new product launches and campaigns.

5. Exhibition & Event Content

Create graphics and videos for exhibitions such as Batimat, MosBuild, Interzum and other domestic/international events.
Prepare digital invitations, event announcements, countdown creatives and exhibition-related content.
Create post-event videos, reels and photo/video compilations.
Support the marketing team with exhibition presentations and promotional material.

6. AI & New-Age Creative Tools

Use AI tools to improve the speed and quality of content creation.
Experiment with AI-based image, video, animation and editing tools.
Use AI for concept development, storyboarding, image enhancement and creative variations.
Stay updated with new design, video editing and AI content-creation trends.

AI-assisted design and tools such as Adobe Firefly, Canva AI and similar platforms are increasingly being included in current graphic-design roles.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of Adobe Photoshop.
Good knowledge of Adobe Illustrator.
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or equivalent video-editing software.
Knowledge of Adobe After Effects will be an advantage.
Knowledge of Canva and other creative tools.
Good understanding of typography, colour, composition and visual hierarchy.
Strong understanding of video editing, pacing and storytelling.
Ability to create engaging Reels and short-form videos.
Good understanding of social media formats and trends.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Experience

1–3 years of relevant experience preferred.

Freshers with an exceptional portfolio and strong practical skills may also be considered.

Portfolio Requirement

Portfolio/showreel is mandatory.
