You will be responsible for
Job Summary:
Plays a crucial role in creating synergy between the Assistant Buyers, Buying Managers, Pricing Team, Supply Chain, Trade Planning,
Retail, and DC team in the market to align Buying strategies with broader business objectives. Ensure the team is well-equipped to
assist Buyers in maximizing business profitability by improving margins, timely recovering funds from suppliers, minimizing waste, and
enhancing product availability to drive sales.
In this job, I’m accountable for:
Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence and have these specific risk responsibilities:
- Lead initiatives to improve the efficiency of Buying processes, including the use of new technologies and systems
- Stay ahead of market trends and drive innovative solutions that enhance the competitiveness of the product portfolio
- Evaluate the financial impact of buying decisions, aiming for margin improvement and cost savings
- Implement strategies to reduce waste at both the store and distribution center (DC) levels by optimizing stock management, minimizing
overstocking, and improving product turnover
- Review Supplier Performance and recommend solutions to the commerical team in the market to align with contractual obligations and
resolve any issues related to quality, delivery, or service
- Analyze sales data and market trends to ensure products meet customer demand and optimize the product mix
- Monitor and report on waste reduction metrics, ensuring alignment with the company's sustainability goals and driving continuous
improvement in waste management
- Implement strict processes to ensure the timely and accurate recovery of all promotional funds, retros, and financial agreements with
suppliers
- Ensure the Range Event Critical Paths and Promotional Critical Paths are adhered by the Assistant Buyers
- Enhance team skills to align with the business purpose and lead projects that deliver significant value for the organization
- Represent the TBS Buying team in the Trade Planning and Promotional cycles & events' discussions and strategy meetings
- Manage the performance of a team of Assistant Buyers who directly work with the Buyers in the market
- Advocating our Code of Business Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence
