About the role:
You will work closely with business and Global Procurement teams to manage business expectations for achieving the larger objectives of the India business, with a strong focus on category management, digital enablement, and data-driven decision making.
Responsibilities include:

Drive procurement outcomes through end-to-end category management, aligning global strategies with local execution to deliver sustainable value and supply resilience

Lead category analytics including spend visibility, cost drivers, and savings tracking using digital tools

Develop and maintain advanced financial reporting, dashboards (Power BI), and target frameworks
-
Drive contract compliance, contract lifecycle management, and governance processes
-
Complete procurement activities aligned with S2C (Source-to-Contract) processes, policies, and compliance frameworks
Key Accountabilities
Category Delivery
-
Support execution of category strategies for assigned spend areas, ensuring alignment with global category direction and local business priorities

Apply category knowledge to see opportunities for cost optimization, value creation, resilience, innovation, and supplier development

Support localization, supplier development, and innovation initiatives in collaboration with global teams
S2C and Sourcing Execution

Complete procurement activity across the Source-to-Contract lifecycle, including demand understanding, sourcing support, RFQ/RFP management, bid analysis, negotiation inputs, contracting, and handover

Support tendering and sourcing events with structured commercial evaluation and governance compliance
Contract Management & Compliance

Support contract lifecycle management, including contract coverage, renewals, adherence tracking, and supplier obligations monitoring.

Improve contract compliance and reduce commercial leakage through better visibility and governance.
Digital, Data & Analytics

Build and maintain procurement dashboards, reports, and performance trackers using tools such as Power BI and Excel-based analytics models

Analyze spend, pricing, supplier performance, and procurement indicators to generate insights for decision-making

Contribute to procurement digitization and standardization initiatives that improve visibility, speed, and decision quality
Supplier & Customer Management

Build effective working relationships with suppliers and internal customers across business, finance, operations, and global procurement teams

Lead supplier performance management (SPM/SRM) through structured scorecards and dashboards

Bring external market insight and supplier intelligence to internal discussions to support proactive decision-making
Commercial & Business Support

Track cost movements, market trends, and supply-demand dynamics to support business planning and budgeting

Support annual planning, savings tracking, forecasting inputs, and COGS-related analysis
Experience and Qualifications:
-
7+ years of direct category management experience in procurement, with strong financial understanding and commercial competence driving value delivery and negotiations

8–10 years of overall experience in procurement/supply chain, with proven track record of managing strategic categories and supporting business outcomes

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Science, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field
-
Post-graduate qualification in Management / Procurement / Supply Chain is desirable
