Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee housekeeping operations across our FMCG manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety in compliance with GMP, FSSAI, HACCP, ISO 22000, and company quality standards. The role includes supervising housekeeping staff, managing cleaning schedules, ensuring audit readiness, and maintaining a clean and safe production environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesHousekeeping Operations
- Supervise daily housekeeping activities across the manufacturing facility.
- Allocate work and monitor the performance of housekeeping staff.
- Ensure completion of daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules.
- Conduct routine inspections to maintain cleanliness standards.
- Maintain housekeeping records and checklists.
Production & Hygiene Management
- Ensure cleanliness of production, packing, and warehouse areas.
- Maintain hygiene standards in accordance with GMP and Food Safety requirements.
- Prevent cross-contamination through proper cleaning practices.
- Coordinate deep cleaning and sanitation activities.
Area Management
Responsible for maintaining cleanliness in:
- Production Area
- Mixing & Baking Section
- Cooling & Packing Area
- Raw Material Warehouse
- Finished Goods Warehouse
- Dispatch Area
- Quality Control Laboratory
- Utility Areas (Boiler, DG Room, Compressor, RO Plant)
- Engineering & Maintenance Workshop
- HR, Administration & Accounts Offices
- Reception & Conference Rooms
- Canteen & Dining Area
- Washrooms & Changing Rooms

Team Supervision
- Lead and supervise housekeeping staff and outsourced manpower.
- Prepare duty rosters and shift allocations.
- Conduct on-the-job training for housekeeping personnel.
- Monitor attendance, discipline, and productivity.
- Ensure proper use of uniforms and PPE.
Cleaning Materials & Equipment
- Monitor inventory of cleaning chemicals, tools, and consumables.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of cleaning chemicals.
- Raise purchase requisitions for housekeeping materials.
- Maintain housekeeping equipment in good working condition.
Waste Management
- Ensure proper segregation of dry, wet, recyclable, and food waste.
- Monitor waste collection and disposal activities.
- Maintain cleanliness around waste storage areas.
Pest Control
- Coordinate with pest control agencies.
- Monitor pest control schedules and corrective actions.
- Maintain pest control documentation.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Factory Safety Rules.
- Follow GMP, HACCP, FSSAI, ISO 22000, and company hygiene standards.
- Identify unsafe conditions and report corrective actions.
- Support internal, customer, and statutory audits.

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of GMP, Food Safety, FSSAI, HACCP, and hygiene standards.
- Team handling and manpower management.
- Good leadership and communication skills.
- Cleaning chemical handling knowledge.
- Waste management and sanitation practices.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel & MS Word).
- Problem-solving and decision-making ability.
- Ability to work under pressure and in shifts.
