What You’ll Be Doing :
In this role, you will ensure that Digital Health and patient-facing applications meet high-quality standards through rigorous pre-release testing and post-release validation. You will be responsible for designing and executing test plans, leading testing efforts, identifying and addressing defects, and providing clear risk assessments to the project team. Success requires strong critical thinking, effective communication, and collaboration within a global cross-functional team. Key responsibilities include Web, Mobile, API, and AI-based application testing, model evaluation, and test automation. You will also drive test automation initiatives for web, mobile, and backend applications, optimize CI/CD pipelines, and apply expertise in AI testing methodologies, performance testing, and cloud-based test execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technology Leadership & Continuous Learning:
- Serves as a key contributor in multiple quality engineering technologies, test automation frameworks, and software testing methodologies.
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of architectural patterns for scalable and maintainable test automation.
- Proactively learns and applies new tools, techniques, and programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, or other OOP languages to improve test automation and quality assurance processes.
- Develops and maintains CI/CD pipelines, integrating automated tests to support continuous testing and deployment.
- Test Automation & Quality Engineering:
- Leads the development of robust, scalable, and maintainable test automation frameworks for web, mobile, API, and backend testing.
- Contributes to AI-based application testing, including LLM evaluation and validation.
- Implements performance and load testing strategies using JMeter to ensure system reliability and scalability.
- Drives cloud-based testing initiatives, utilizing AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker for managing test environments.
- Business Impact & Strategic Quality Initiatives:
- Drives testing strategies and process improvements that significantly enhance business solutions and improve software reliability.
- Identifies and implements test optimization techniques, reducing test execution time while maintaining high coverage.
- Collaborates with development, DevOps, and product teams to integrate testing within Agile and DevOps practices.
- Process & Team Leadership:
- Champions process improvements, ensuring the team understands the trade-offs and benefits of various testing approaches.
- Implements best practices in quality engineering, ensuring testing processes align with industry standards and compliance requirements.
- Advocates for shift-left testing and encourages early-stage test automation to prevent defects in development cycles.
- Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing:
- Supports and mentors junior and mid-level QA engineers, providing guidance on test automation, performance testing, and CI/CD integration.
- Encourages a culture of continuous learning, actively sharing insights, knowledge, and industry trends with the team.
- Reviews test automation architectures, frameworks, and scripts, ensuring best practices are followed.
- Innovation & Thought Leadership:
- Promotes and implements new and innovative testing approaches within the team, driving advancements in AI-driven test automation, model evaluation, and cloud testing.
- Explores and integrates cutting-edge testing technologies, such as AI-based testing frameworks, self-healing automation, and autonomous testing solutions.
- Agile & DevOps Collaboration:
- Ensures seamless integration of test automation within CI/CD pipelines, supporting continuous delivery and deployment.
- Participates in Agile ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning, backlog refinement, and defect triaging.
- Works closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring testing strategies align with business objectives and release cycles.
- Quality Advocacy & Communication:
- Encourages a quality-first mindset, ensuring that all team members prioritize software reliability, performance, and scalability.
- Communicates effectively with stakeholders, providing insights on test progress, defect trends, and automation ROI.
- Facilitates discussions on test strategy improvements, ensuring that the team continuously evolves to meet modern software testing challenges.
Required Technical Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of Quality Engineering experience in a high-tech, life sciences, or related field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills with a passion for continuous learning and improvement.
- Hands-on experience with pytest, WebdriverIO, Selenium, and Appium.
- Expertise in AI/ML testing and model evaluation.
- Strong experience in test strategy building and test planning.
- Proficiency in Java / Java Script / Type Script / Python
- Strong understanding of cloud computing and containerized testing (AWS, Kubernetes, Docker).
- Experience in GitHub, JIRA, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with RAGAs, DeepEval, and LangChain frameworks for model evaluation.
- Experience in multi-region software testing.
- Knowledge of security and compliance testing in regulated environments.
