JOB DESCRIPTION – HR INTERN

Position: HR Intern
Department: Human Resources
Employment Type: Internship
Location: Kolenchery
Reports To: HR

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic HR Intern to support our Human Resources team in day-to-day HR activities. The intern will gain practical experience in recruitment, employee engagement, onboarding, documentation, and general HR operations.

Key Responsibilities1. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

Assist in sourcing candidates through job portals, social media, and other recruitment channels.
Screen resumes and shortlist suitable candidates.
Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
Communicate with candidates regarding interview schedules and updates.
Maintain and update the recruitment tracker.

2. Employee Onboarding

Assist with the pre-joining and onboarding process for new employees.
Collect and verify required employee documents.
Prepare onboarding documents and joining kits.
Coordinate with new employees to ensure a smooth joining experience.
Help introduce new employees to company policies and procedures.

3. HR Administration

Maintain employee records and HR documentation.
Assist in updating attendance, leave, and employee databases.
Support the preparation of HR reports and trackers.
Maintain confidentiality of employee information.
Assist with routine HR documentation and filing.

4. Employee Engagement

Support HR activities related to employee engagement and team-building.
Assist in organizing employee events, celebrations, and activities.
Collect employee feedback and communicate relevant concerns to the HR team.

5. HR Support

Assist the HR team with daily administrative tasks.
Support the implementation of HR policies and procedures.
Help coordinate internal communication related to HR activities.
Perform other HR-related tasks assigned by the HR Manager.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in HR, Business Administration, Management, Psychology, or a related field.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic knowledge of HR processes and recruitment.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Proficiency in MS Office / Google Workspace.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Willingness to learn and take initiative.
Positive attitude and professional approach.

Preferred Skills

Basic knowledge of recruitment and interview coordination.
Familiarity with job portals and social media recruitment.
Basic knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets.
Strong follow-up and coordination skills.
Interest in working in the education and language-training industry.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Timely completion of recruitment and HR support activities.
Accuracy of employee records and HR documentation.
Candidate follow-up and interview coordination efficiency.
Timely completion of onboarding activities.
