Role description
We are seeking an experienced Automation QA with strong expertise in the Healthcare- Provider Domain, Healthcare EDI Transactions, and modern testing practices. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting healthcare payer systems, provider-facing applications, API testing, and test automation within Agile environments. This role requires a solid understanding of provider operations and healthcare workflows, combined with strong QA and test automation capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Validate healthcare applications supporting Provider Operations, including Provider Portal solutions and modernisation initiatives.
- Test workflows related to Prior Authorisation, Provider Availability, and associated healthcare business processes.
- Support testing across Medicare Advantage, Commercial, and Managed Care healthcare plans.
- Validate healthcare transaction processing and integrations involving EDI transactions.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance of provider-related data and business workflows.
- Perform testing of processes related to:
- Provider Directory Management
- Provider Credentialing
- Provider Contracting
- Network Management
- Validate provider-facing digital applications and portal functionalities.
- Collaborate with business analysts and product owners to understand provider workflow requirements.
- Design and execute API test scenarios using Postman or similar tools.
- Validate REST API responses, data transformations, and integration flows.
- Test healthcare integrations involving JSON, XML, and healthcare-specific data exchange patterns.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using:
- Selenium
- Playwright
- Cypress
- Execute automated regression and functional testing.
- Contribute to automation framework enhancements and test coverage expansion.
- Manage test cases, defects, and user story validation using Azure DevOps.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release testing activities.
- Track, document, and communicate testing progress and quality metrics.
- Support continuous testing and quality assurance activities throughout the SDLC.
- Test applications hosted within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
- Validate Azure-hosted services, integrations, and cloud-based application functionality.
- Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to ensure quality delivery in cloud environments.

- Strong experience in the Healthcare Provider Domain.
- Extensive knowledge of healthcare EDI transactions, including:

- 835 Remittance Advice
- 834 Enrollment
- Experience supporting Medicare Advantage, Commercial, and/or Managed Care healthcare plans.
- Strong understanding of Provider Operations and healthcare business workflows.
- Knowledge of Provider Directory, Credentialing, Contracting, and Network Management processes.
- Experience testing Provider Portal modernisation initiatives and provider-facing digital applications.
- Hands-on experience testing REST APIs using Postman or similar tools.
- Experience with automation frameworks such as:
- Selenium
- Playwright
- Cypress
- Strong understanding of manual testing methodologies, including functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing.
- Hands-on experience using Azure DevOps for:
- Test Management
- Defect Tracking
- User Story Validation
- Agile Delivery
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments.
- Experience testing Azure-hosted applications and cloud services.
- Working knowledge of JSON, XML, and healthcare integration patterns.
- Understanding of API integrations and service-oriented architectures.
