We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Solutions Architect with deep expertise in Azure Cloud Architecture, Database Administration (DBA), Cloud Data Platforms, Database Migration, Infrastructure Modernization, and Enterprise Cloud Transformation. The ideal candidate will lead the design, architecture, and implementation of scalable, secure, and highly available Azure cloud solutions while driving large-scale database modernization initiatives.
The candidate should possess extensive experience migrating enterprise databases including SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB to Azure, designing High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) architectures, implementing Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), building CI/CD automation, and optimizing cloud performance, scalability, and cost. This role requires close collaboration with infrastructure, application, security, DevOps, and data engineering teams to deliver cloud-native, business-critical solutions.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Azure Cloud Architecture
- Design enterprise-scale Azure cloud architectures aligned with business, security, and operational requirements.
- Develop cloud adoption and modernization strategies for enterprise applications and databases.
- Define Azure landing zones, governance models, networking, identity management, and security architecture.
- Architect scalable, resilient, and highly available cloud infrastructure using Azure best practices.
- Evaluate existing on-premises environments and recommend cloud-native modernization approaches.
Database Architecture & Migration
- Lead enterprise database migration projects from SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB to Azure cloud platforms.
- Design migration strategies with minimal downtime and business disruption.
- Perform database assessments, dependency analysis, migration planning, and execution.
- Optimize migrated databases for performance, scalability, and operational efficiency.
- Establish backup, recovery, maintenance, and lifecycle management strategies.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance throughout migration activities.
High Availability & Disaster Recovery
- Design and implement enterprise HA/DR architectures for mission-critical workloads.
- Develop business continuity strategies using Azure-native disaster recovery services.
- Configure geo-redundancy, replication, backup automation, failover, and recovery procedures.
- Conduct disaster recovery planning, testing, and documentation.
- Ensure Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) and Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) meet business requirements.
Azure Data Platform & Integration
- Design scalable data integration architectures using Azure Data Factory (ADF).
- Develop secure data movement strategies between on-premises and cloud environments.
- Build enterprise data migration and synchronization pipelines.
- Integrate databases with analytics, reporting, AI, and business applications.
- Support hybrid cloud and multi-database integration scenarios.
Infrastructure Automation & DevOps
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
- Build reusable Terraform modules for Azure infrastructure provisioning.
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and database deployments.
- Automate cloud provisioning, configuration management, deployments, and operational tasks.
- Integrate DevOps practices into enterprise cloud delivery processes.
Performance Optimization & Capacity Planning
- Perform database performance tuning, workload optimization, and query analysis.
- Monitor Azure resource utilization and optimize compute, storage, and networking.
- Develop capacity planning models for enterprise growth and workload forecasting.
- Recommend right-sizing strategies to improve cloud efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Optimize application and database performance across cloud environments.
Governance, Security & Compliance
- Implement Azure governance using policies, resource organization, tagging, and management groups.
- Design secure architectures utilizing Azure Identity, RBAC, Key Vault, and network security controls.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct architecture reviews and cloud security assessments.
- Implement monitoring, logging, auditing, and operational dashboards.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Provide architectural leadership and technical guidance to engineering teams.
- Mentor cloud engineers, database administrators, and DevOps professionals.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define cloud roadmaps and modernization initiatives.
- Participate in solution design reviews, technology evaluations, and architectural governance.
- Create architecture diagrams, technical documentation, migration runbooks, and operational procedures.

- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) and enterprise data migration.
- Proven experience implementing High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions.
- Strong Terraform and Infrastructure as Code expertise.
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and database deployments.
- Expertise in database performance tuning, optimization, and capacity planning.

Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
