Full job description

Location: Visakhapatnam AP India

Duration: 3 months

Start Date: 03/11/2025

Experience Needed: 1+ years

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Android Developer with a strong background in both native Android development (Kotlin/Java) and React Native. You will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our Android applications, contributing to both native modules and cross-platform features. You will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing high-performance, user-friendly mobile applications that meet our business needs and delight our users.

Responsibilities:

Native Android Development:
- Design, develop, and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin and/or Java.
- Implement complex UI features, data persistence, and background services.
- Optimize application performance, memory usage, and battery consumption.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Conduct thorough code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
- Integrate with RESTful APIs and other backend services.
- Work with Android SDK, Android Studio, and other relevant tools.
React Native Development:
- Develop and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using React Native.
- Build reusable React Native components and modules.
- Integrate native Android modules with React Native applications.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues across both native and React Native codebases.
- Implement and maintain state management solutions.
- Work with React Native CLI, and expo.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and implement features.
- Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Mentor junior developers and share knowledge.
Testing and Quality Assurance:
- Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and stability.
- Perform thorough testing and debugging to identify and fix issues.
- Contribute to the continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline.
- Participate in beta testing and gathering user feedback.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience in Android development.
Strong proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java.
Proven experience with React Native development.
Solid understanding of Android SDK, Android Studio, and related development tools.
Experience with RESTful APIs and JSON.
Familiarity with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Context API).
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Strong understanding of software development principles and best practices.
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Experience with testing frameworks.
Understanding of mobile UI/UX principles.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
Experience with Native module creation for react native is a large plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with native iOS development (Swift/Objective-C).
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud).
Experience with performance optimization techniques.
Experience with mobile analytics and crash reporting tools.
