Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Java Developer or Senior Java Developer to join our team and help design, build, and maintain enterprise software solutions.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications and services.
- Build, enhance, and support REST APIs and backend systems.
- Contribute across the full software development lifecycle, from design through deployment and support.
- Improve application performance, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
- Write automated tests and assist with production troubleshooting and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software.
- For senior roles, lead technical discussions, mentor team members, and contribute to architecture and technology decisions.
Required skills:
- 5- 8 Yrs of experience in enterprise Java application development.
- Strong experience with Java and modern backend development practices.
- Experience with Spring and/or Spring Boot.
- Experience developing RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with Maven or Gradle.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases.
- Experience with JPA/Hibernate or similar ORM frameworks.
- Experience writing unit tests using JUnit or similar frameworks.
- Working knowledge of Git and CI/CD practices.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and production support skills.
- Experience using GenAI-assisted development tools (such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, or similar) to improve developer productivity, code quality, testing, and documentation.
Preferred experience:
- Experience building or working with microservices.
- Knowledge of application security best practices.
- Experience with messaging or asynchronous processing technologies.
- Exposure to frontend technologies such as Angular or TypeScript.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
Responsible for improving or developing new products, components, equipment, systems, technologies, or processes including:
- Ensuring that research and design methodologies meet established scientific and engineering standards
- Assisting with formulating business plans and budgets for product development
- Analyzing quality/safety test results to ensure compliance with internal and external standards
- Keeping abreast of new developments in the industry and translating those developments into new and viable options for the organization and customers
- Organizing technical presentations to customers and/or industry groups
- Monitoring product development outcomes to ensure technical, functional, cost, and timing targets are met In some organizations, may be responsible for managing product regulatory approval process
