To be successful as a Test Engineer - Salesforce ETL QA, you should have experience with:
- Strong experience in ETL Testing, Data Migration Testing, and Data Warehouse Testing.
- Strong SQL knowledge and ability to perform source-to-target data validation and reconciliation.
- Experience testing Salesforce applications, preferably Service Cloud and/or Sales Cloud.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce data model, standard and custom objects, relationships, and data validation rules.
- Experience validating complex data transformations, business rules, and data mappings.
- Experience with Integration and API Testing using Postman or similar tools.
- Strong working knowledge of Ab Initio, Teradata, and enterprise data processing frameworks.
- Experience working with AWS services and cloud-based data platforms.
- Good understanding of Unix/Linux commands, shell scripting basics, PuTTY, and WinSCP for log analysis, file validation, and batch process verification.
- Experience using Salesforce Data Loader, Salesforce Inspector, or similar data management tools.
- Experience validating batch jobs, file transfers, ETL workflows, and end-to-end data pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot data quality and integration issues.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments utilizing JIRA and Confluence.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute ETL, integration, and data validation test scenarios and test cases.
- Validate source-to-target mappings, transformation rules, and data migration activities.
- Perform backend data validation using SQL and reconcile data across multiple systems including Salesforce, AWS, and Teradata platforms.
- Validate Ab Initio workflows, batch processes, interfaces, file-based integrations, and data pipelines.
- Perform file validation and production support activities using Linux/Unix commands, PuTTY, and WinSCP.
- Test APIs, interfaces, batch jobs, and data pipelines supporting Salesforce and downstream applications.
- Identify, log, track, and retest defects through to closure.
- Support SIT, UAT, release validation, and production verification activities.
- Contribute to test automation and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with Barclays testing standards, controls, and risk management requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support successful project delivery.
