MEP Site Coordinator

Your next role
The ideal candidate will oversee the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) aspects of construction projects, ensuring that all systems are installed according to specifications, codes, and safety standards. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and effective collaboration with various stakeholders.

Manage and supervise on-site Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP), HVAC, Fire Fighting, and PHE installations, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules.

Coordinate HVAC, Electrical, Fire Fighting, Plumbing (PHE), and associated building services installations to ensure smooth execution and timely resolution of site issues.

Review architectural, structural, and MEP GFC (Good for Construction) drawings in advance to identify clashes, design gaps, constructability concerns, and coordination requirements.

Coordinate with design consultants, architects, structural engineers, electrical engineers, MEP designers, contractors, and project teams to obtain timely design clarifications and drawing revisions.

Provide technical solutions and guidance for Mechanical, Electrical, Fire Fighting, HVAC, and Plumbing systems, ensuring uninterrupted progress of site works.

Raise, track, and close RFIs (Requests for Information) while maintaining effective communication between site and design teams.

Monitor project priorities, upcoming construction activities, and required design inputs to ensure timely availability of coordinated drawings and information.

Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and quality checks to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, statutory regulations, and industry standards.

Identify and report MEP non-conformances (NCRs), including Electrical, HVAC, Fire Fighting, and Plumbing works, as well as any architectural or structural issues impacting building services.

Maintain detailed records of site visits, RFIs, drawing revisions, coordination meetings, inspections, testing activities, and project correspondence.

Track all incoming and outgoing drawings, ensuring the latest approved revisions are available and distributed to relevant stakeholders.

Prepare periodic progress, coordination, and technical reports highlighting project status, risks, pending approvals, key challenges, and proposed solutions.

Supervise and mentor MEP engineers, supervisors, and technicians, promoting best practices in installation, coordination, quality control, and safety.

Ensure all Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, and Fire Fighting works comply with applicable safety regulations, project requirements, and company policies.
Your skills and experience

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering

Strong knowledge of Plumbing (PHE), HVAC, Electrical Systems, Fire Fighting, and overall MEP coordination.

Experience in reviewing architectural, structural, electrical, and MEP drawings.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office; knowledge of Revit/BIM will be an added advantage.

Excellent coordination, communication, technical problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to manage multiple disciplines and coordinate effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.

Experience in high-rise residential, commercial, or large-scale infrastructure projects.

Strong understanding of NCR management, RFI processes, drawing management, quality inspections, testing & commissioning, and construction planning.

Familiarity with local codes, standards, and best practices related to Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, and Fire Protection systems.
