**Job Title: Restaurant Manager / Assistant Restaurant Manager**

**Location:** Bangalore

**Industry:** Restaurant / Hospitality / Food & Beverage

### Job Overview

We are looking for a dynamic, result-oriented and hands-on **Restaurant Manager / Assistant Restaurant Manager** to take responsibility for overall restaurant operations, sales, profitability, team management, guest experience, inventory and cost control.

The ideal candidate should have strong leadership and people-management skills with the ability to manage high-volume restaurant operations while maintaining service quality and business performance.

### Key Responsibilities

**1. Sales & Business Performance**

* Drive weekly, monthly and annual sales and profitability targets.

* Monitor dine-in, takeaway and delivery business performance.

* Set team sales targets and identify revenue-generation opportunities.

* Develop corporate, bulk-order and other business opportunities.

* Monitor discounts, complimentary items, voids, cancellations and other revenue leakages.

**2. Restaurant Operations & Guest Experience**

* Manage daily restaurant operations as per company SOPs and service standards.

* Ensure consistent food quality, service standards, menu knowledge and restaurant presentation.

* Monitor guest feedback and resolve customer complaints effectively.

* Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and overall guest experience.

**3. Team Management & Development**

* Lead and manage Front Office, Kitchen, Delivery, Housekeeping, Valet and Security teams.

* Plan manpower, shifts and leave schedules.

* Monitor individual and team performance.

* Conduct regular team briefings, training and coaching.

* Identify and develop employees for higher responsibilities.

**4. Food Cost, Inventory & Wastage Control**

* Control food cost, wastage, portioning and recipe adherence.

* Ensure proper ordering, receiving, storage and FIFO practices.

* Monitor fast-moving, slow-moving and non-moving inventory.

* Conduct stock checks and GRN verification.

* Manage monthly physical inventory reconciliation.

* Monitor consumption of staff food, packaging and cleaning materials.

**5. Cost, Cash & Financial Control**

* Ensure proper cash handling, daily deposits and reconciliation of cash, card and online payments.

* Monitor petty cash, local purchases, utilities, fuel, maintenance and other operating expenses.

* Drive cost-saving initiatives within approved budgets.

* Ensure restaurant sales cash is not used for unauthorised payments.

**6. Compliance, Systems & Reporting**

* Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, statutory requirements and restaurant licences.

* Monitor daily, weekly and monthly operational reports.

* Maintain POS and inventory systems.

* Maintain asset, equipment and operational registers.

* Escalate maintenance, IT and compliance issues on time.

**7. Hygiene, Safety & Upkeep**

* Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety.

* Monitor cleaning schedules and hygiene checklists.

* Ensure proper equipment handling and preventive maintenance.

* Ensure adherence to personal hygiene and workplace safety standards.

### Experience & Qualification

**Restaurant Manager**

* 8+ years of total experience

* Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar managerial role

**Assistant Restaurant Manager**

* 5+ years of total experience

* Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role

**Preferred Qualifications**

* Graduate / Diploma in Hospitality, Hotel Management or a relevant field.

* Experience in restaurant or hospitality operations.

* Experience in a high-volume restaurant environment is preferred.

* Strong leadership, communication, decision-making and people-management skills.
