Job Summary
HyreSpot is seeking a strategic and result-oriented Chief Business Development Officer to lead its Channel Sales and Business Expansion across South India.
This role is responsible for driving revenue growth by expanding the company's channel partner network, strengthening regional sales operations, and leading a team of 50+ sales professionals across multiple states.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in channel sales leadership, business development, and multi-state sales management with a proven ability to build high-performing teams, exceed revenue targets, and execute scalable sales strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the overall Channel Sales and Sales Expansion strategy across South India.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire the wholeua sales force consisting of Buisness Development State Head, Area Sales Managers, Deputy Sales Managers, Team Leaders, and Channel Sales Executives.
- Drive revenue growth by expanding the channel partner network and increasing market penetration across assigned territories.
- Identify new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and untapped markets to accelerate business expansion.
- Build strong relationships with distributors, channel partners, enterprise clients, and key stakeholders.
- Set regional sales targets, monitor KPIs, analyse performance, and implement effective action plans to achieve business goals.
- Develop scalable sales processes that improve productivity, conversion rates, and customer acquisition.
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop high-performing sales teams while building a strong leadership pipeline.
- Conduct regular field visits to review business performance, support sales teams, and strengthen channel relationships.
- Collaborate with senior management on pricing strategies, market expansion initiatives, and revenue planning.
- Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to identify growth opportunities.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts, budgets, MIS reports, and business performance reviews.
- Ensure consistent execution of company sales policies, operational standards, and customer service excellence.
- Represent HyreSpot at business meetings, networking events, industry conferences, and strategic partnership discussions.
- Preferred Candidate with background experience in Telecom / Insurance sector only
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
- MBA or Postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 20 years of experience in Channel Sales, Business Development, Sales Leadership, or Market Expansion.
- At least 10+ years of experience managing large multi-state sales operations.
- Proven experience leading 50 or more sales professionals across multiple locations.
- Demonstrated success in achieving aggressive revenue targets through channel sales and business development.
- Strong experience in partner acquisition, channel management, and sales expansion strategies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Strong knowledge of South Indian markets and regional business dynamics.
- Willingness to travel extensively across South India.
- Immediate joiners or candidates serving a short notice period are preferred.Preferred Industry Experience
