Business Development Manager – Staffing

About the Role

CS Soft Solutions is looking for an experienced and result-oriented Business Development Manager – Staffing to drive business growth by identifying, acquiring, and onboarding new staffing clients.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in the staffing/recruitment industry, with proven experience in client acquisition, staffing account onboarding, business development, and relationship management. The candidate will be responsible for building a strong client pipeline, understanding workforce requirements, presenting staffing solutions, negotiating commercial terms, and converting prospects into long-term clients.

Key Responsibilities1. Client Acquisition & Business Development

Identify and target potential clients requiring staffing and recruitment solutions.
Generate new business opportunities through cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn, networking, referrals, and industry connections.
Research companies, industries, and decision-makers to identify staffing requirements.
Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline to achieve monthly and quarterly business targets.
Conduct client meetings and presentations to understand business requirements and introduce relevant staffing solutions.
Convert qualified leads into successful business engagements.

2. Staffing Client Onboarding

Take ownership of the complete client onboarding process, from initial discussions to successful account activation.
Understand client manpower requirements, hiring volumes, job profiles, locations, experience requirements, and timelines.
Coordinate with internal recruitment and delivery teams to ensure smooth execution of client requirements.
Discuss and finalize commercials, staffing models, service terms, SLAs, and other business requirements with clients.
Ensure all required documentation and agreements are completed before initiating staffing services.
Establish strong relationships with newly onboarded clients to ensure long-term engagement.

3. Client Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with HR Heads, Talent Acquisition Managers, Procurement Teams, Business Heads, and other key decision-makers.
Regularly communicate with clients to understand changing workforce requirements.
Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts through additional staffing requirements and services.
Handle client concerns professionally and coordinate with internal teams for timely resolution.
Maintain high levels of client satisfaction and retention.

4. Market Development

Identify new industries, organizations, and market segments with potential staffing requirements.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, hiring patterns, and emerging staffing opportunities.
Develop strategies to penetrate new accounts and expand the company's staffing business.
Build a strong network of HR and business professionals.

5. Sales & Revenue Responsibilities

Achieve assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual business development targets.
Maintain accurate records of leads, prospects, meetings, proposals, negotiations, and conversions.
Prepare regular sales reports and provide updates on pipeline and revenue forecasts.
Follow up consistently with prospects and ensure timely movement of opportunities through the sales cycle.
Negotiate contracts and commercials while maintaining business profitability.

6. Internal Coordination

Work closely with recruitment, HR, operations, finance, and delivery teams to ensure successful client servicing.
Communicate client requirements clearly to internal recruitment teams.
Monitor the progress of staffing requirements and ensure commitments made to clients are fulfilled.
Support the team in resolving operational or client-related issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications

5+ years of experience in Business Development, Sales, Staffing, Recruitment, or related areas.
Mandatory experience in onboarding staffing clients.
Proven track record of acquiring new clients and generating staffing business.
Strong understanding of the staffing/recruitment business model.
Experience in B2B sales and client relationship management.
Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
Ability to independently manage the complete sales cycle—from lead generation to client onboarding.
Strong networking and relationship-building capabilities.
Good understanding of recruitment and workforce requirements.
Target-oriented and comfortable working in a business development environment.
Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, LinkedIn, and other business development platforms.

Preferred Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be someone who:

Has an established network of staffing clients and HR decision-makers.
Has previously handled client onboarding for staffing/recruitment services.
Can independently generate leads and convert them into paying clients.
Understands staffing commercials, contracts, SLAs, and client requirements.
Has strong negotiation and account-management capabilities.
Is highly motivated by business targets and revenue growth.

Number of new staffing clients acquired.
Number of clients successfully onboarded.
Monthly/quarterly revenue generated.
Lead-to-client conversion rate.
Number and value of active staffing requirements.
Client retention and repeat business.
Average sales cycle and conversion time.
