Marketing Manager – Admissions & Institutional Business Development

Position: Marketing Manager
Number of Positions: 4
Experience: 3–7 years preferred
Location: Guwahati, Assam
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Overview

We are looking for 4 dynamic and result-oriented Marketing Managers to drive student admissions, institutional outreach, project opportunities and tender-related business for the Academy.

The candidate will be responsible for developing new institutional relationships, conducting school/college/institutional visits, generating admission leads, coordinating with organizations, and supporting the Academy in project and tender acquisition.

The ideal candidate should be confident in meeting senior officials and institutional representatives, have excellent communication and follow-up skills, and be comfortable with field work and target-oriented responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement marketing strategies to achieve admission and institutional outreach targets.
Generate leads and drive student admissions through various marketing and outreach activities.
Plan and conduct regular visits to schools, colleges, educational institutions, Government organizations, corporates and other potential partner institutions.
Build and maintain strong relationships with Principals, Directors, HR/Training Heads, Government officials and institutional decision-makers.
Identify and develop new opportunities for institutional tie-ups, training programs, projects and partnerships.
Coordinate with internal teams for execution of institutional programs and projects.
Identify relevant Government, PSU, corporate and institutional tenders/projects.
Assist in the preparation, documentation and submission of tenders, proposals, quotations and project-related documents.
Coordinate with the Admin and Project teams for tender/project requirements and timely submissions.
Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, institutions and potential clients.
Maintain a database of leads, institutions, prospects, meetings, follow-ups and conversions.
Prepare regular MIS reports and marketing performance reports for management.
Follow up with prospective students, institutions and organizations to convert opportunities into business.
Represent the Academy at institutional meetings, seminars, career fairs, events and other promotional activities.
Coordinate promotional campaigns and admission drives when required.
Work towards achieving monthly/quarterly admission and institutional business targets.
Travel locally and, when required, outside Guwahati for institutional visits and business development activities.
Perform other marketing and business development responsibilities assigned by management.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Graduate degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Management, Commerce or a related field.
3–7 years of experience in marketing, business development, institutional sales, education marketing or a similar role.
Experience in education/training, institutional marketing, Government projects, CSR projects or corporate business development will be highly preferred.
Strong sales, marketing and business development skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi. Assamese will be an advantage.
Confident and professional personality with the ability to interact with senior officials and institutional representatives.
Strong negotiation, presentation and relationship-management skills.
Good follow-up and lead-conversion abilities.
Willingness to undertake extensive field visits and institutional meetings.
Good working knowledge of MS Excel for lead tracking, MIS and reporting.
Good knowledge of MS PowerPoint for preparing business proposals and presentations.
Basic/intermediate knowledge of Canva for marketing materials and presentations will be an advantage.
Ability to prepare professional emails, proposals, quotations and presentations.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be target-oriented, confident, energetic and comfortable with field-based marketing.

Candidates who already have experience or contacts in schools, colleges, Government departments, PSUs, corporates, NGOs, training institutions or other organizations will be given preference.

The candidate should have the ability to identify opportunities, initiate conversations, conduct meetings, follow up consistently and convert institutional relationships into admissions, projects or business opportunities.
