A Snapshot of Your Day
AS TR Execution Unit Finance Head (TR EU Fin Head), you will be responsible for all finance matters pertaining to business operations and day-to-day decision making of the execution unit. You will also be the strategic partner to EU Head. The role combines commercial decision support, performance management, financial control, and governance. Key deliverables are ensuring profitable growth, strong cash flows, and compliance with company policies.
How You'll Make an Impact
1. Leadership & Strategy
- Act as finance partner to EU Head, influencing strategic and operational decisions
- Lead business planning, long-term financial strategy, and capital allocation for the EU
- Evaluate business initiatives, investments and expansion opportunities substantiating it with a robust business plan and financial analysis
- Shape and steer Brownfield and Greenfield investments, ensuring strategic alignment, flawless execution, and disciplined capital deployment to deliver enhanced and sustainable business growth
- Serve as the EU's executive representative, building trusted relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders, with involvement in strategic decisions
2. Budgeting, Forecasting & Performance Management
- Lead annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and multi-year business plans
- Track EU performance against budget/targets; analyze variances and proactively initiate corrective actions in a structured manner
- Establish and monitor KPIs (New orders, Revenue, Profit margins, Free Cash Flow, ROCE and Operating Working Capital)
3. Oversee Commercial Finance
- Review order/factory profitability in terms of material cost development, manpower utilization, recovery rates, cost controls and other measures for operating leverage
- Review order profitability, cost controls, manage import guidelines and lifecycle margins
- Support pricing, bidding, and contract negotiations from a financial and risk perspective
- Identify commercial risks, claims, and opportunities, plus ensure timely mitigation
4. Financial Control & Compliance
- Ensure accurate, timely monthly and quarterly closing of EU financial statements
- Maintain strong internal controls, adherence to accounting standards, and group policies and guidelines
- Coordinate audits (internal, statutory, tax) and proactively address issues identified
5. Monitor Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
- Drive cash flow optimization includes project cash flows, collection of accounts receivable, inventory control, and payables strategy.
- Support treasury initiatives viz. FX and Commodities for the EU
6. Risk Management & Governance
- Proactively identify financial, operational, and regulatory risks within the EU
- Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulatory requirements, and governance frameworks
- Support enterprise risk management initiatives
7. Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Lead and develop the EU finance team
- Build strong processes, systems, and a high-performance culture
- Drive automation, digitization, and continuous improvement in finance processes, including AI adoption and implementation

Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Chartered Accountant (mandatory) with MBA/Cost Accountant
What You Bring
- 15+ years of post-qualification experience in finance, with 7+ years in a senior finance leadership role
- Strong exposure to business unit finance, commercial finance (operations) or P&L management
- Industry experience preferred in power generation/ infrastructure service business or manufacturing sectors
