WOK TOSSED | Artemis Hospital, Gurgaon

Department: Operations / Food & Beverage
Position: Cafe Supervisor
Location: Artemis Hospital, Sector 51, Gurgaon
Employment Type: Full-Time
Reporting To: Operations Manager / Outlet Manager

1. ROLE PURPOSE

The Cafe Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the WOK TOSSED outlet, ensuring smooth service, consistent food quality, excellent customer experience, team discipline, hygiene, stock control and adherence to VOW/WOK TOSSED SOPs.

The Supervisor will be the key person responsible for the outlet during the assigned shift and must ensure that the outlet is operationally ready, well-staffed, clean, efficient and commercially controlled.

2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESA. Outlet Operations

Ensure smooth opening, operation and closing of the outlet as per SOP.
Conduct daily opening and closing checks.
Ensure all menu items are available and properly displayed.
Monitor order flow, preparation time and service speed.
Coordinate closely with the kitchen and service team.
Ensure recipes, portions, presentation and serving standards are strictly followed.
Ensure all equipment is operational and report breakdowns immediately.
Maintain proper outlet ambience, cleanliness and overall presentation.

B. Team Management

Supervise and allocate duties to all outlet staff.
Ensure staff attendance, grooming, uniform and discipline.
Conduct daily shift briefing and communicate targets, offers and operational priorities.
Monitor staff productivity and performance.
Train new employees on SOPs, menu, hygiene and customer service.
Ensure proper manpower deployment during peak hours.
Escalate attendance, performance or disciplinary issues to management.

C. Food Quality & Hygiene

Ensure consistent taste, quality, portion size and presentation.
Check food quality before and during service.
Ensure proper food storage, labelling and FIFO/FEFO practices.
Monitor food holding temperatures and wastage.
Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and outlet cleanliness.
Ensure FSSAI, hygiene and food-safety requirements are followed.
Immediately report any food-quality, hygiene or safety concern to management.

D. Inventory & Cost Control

Conduct daily stock checks of key food, beverage and packaging items.
Maintain minimum/maximum stock levels as instructed.
Raise indents/requisitions on time.
Monitor receiving and storage of materials.
Ensure proper stock rotation and prevent expiry.
Track wastage, breakage and shortages.
Report stock variances and unusual consumption.
Support management in controlling food cost and operational wastage.

E. POS, Billing & Cash Handling

Ensure all orders are correctly punched through the POS.
Ensure no food is served without a valid bill/order.
Monitor cash, digital payments and other approved payment modes.
Ensure correct cash handling and shift reconciliation.
Verify daily sales and transaction reports.
Immediately report billing discrepancies or revenue leakage.

F. Customer Experience

Ensure professional and courteous customer service.
Personally monitor customer feedback during the shift.
Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly.
Escalate serious complaints to the Operations Manager.
Maintain quick service and accurate order fulfilment.
Encourage upselling and promotion of WOK TOSSED products where appropriate.
Maintain a professional service environment suitable for a hospital location.

G. Hospital-Site Coordination

Follow all Artemis Hospital operational and access protocols.
Maintain professional conduct with hospital staff, patients, attendants and visitors.
Ensure outlet operations do not interfere with hospital activities.
Coordinate with hospital/site representatives whenever required.
Immediately report any site-related operational issue to management.

H. Daily Reporting

The Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining and submitting:

Daily sales report
Cash/POS reconciliation
Attendance/manpower report
Stock/indent requirements
Wastage report
Customer feedback/complaint report
Maintenance/equipment issues
Daily operational checklist
Any incident or deviation report

3. DAILY ACCOUNTABILITY

The Supervisor must ensure:

OPENING

Outlet clean and ready
Staff present and groomed
Equipment operational
Required stock available
Food preparation completed
POS operational
Menu/display updated

DURING OPERATIONS

Food quality maintained
Orders processed correctly
Service time monitored
Hygiene maintained
Stock monitored
Wastage controlled
Customer complaints addressed
Staff performance monitored

CLOSING

Sales and cash reconciled
Stock checked
Wastage recorded
Cleaning completed
Equipment switched off as required
Outlet secured
Daily report submitted

4. REQUIRED QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

Minimum 2–4 years of experience in Café, QSR, Restaurant or F&B operations.
Prior experience as Cafe Supervisor, Shift Supervisor, Restaurant Supervisor, Senior Captain or Team Leader preferred.
Hospitality/F&B qualification will be an advantage.
Strong knowledge of food service operations, hygiene and inventory management.
Basic knowledge of POS and billing systems.
Good communication skills in Hindi and English.
Comfortable working in rotational shifts, weekends and holidays.
Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced hospital environment.
