Job Summary
The Billing Engineer is responsible for preparing, verifying, and submitting client bills and contractor bills, measuring executed quantities, maintaining billing records, coordinating with site engineers and clients, and ensuring timely certification and payment of all running account (RA) bills and final bills. The role requires strong knowledge of BOQs, drawings, contracts, IS codes, rate analysis, and measurement standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesClient Billing
- Prepare Running Account (RA) Bills.
- Prepare Final Bills.
- Verify executed quantities from site.
- Maintain Measurement Books (MB).
- Coordinate with consultants and client representatives for bill certification.
- Prepare deviation statements.
- Prepare extra item statements.
- Prepare variation claims.
- Track certified and pending bills.
- Follow up for bill approvals and payments.
- Maintain billing registers.
Contractor Billing
- Verify subcontractor measurements.
- Prepare contractor RA Bills.
- Verify work executed as per drawings.
- Cross-check contractor quantities.
- Prepare payment recommendations.
- Ensure deductions as per contract.
- Maintain contractor billing records.
- Process final contractor settlements.
Quantity Verification
- Take quantities from AutoCAD drawings.
- Prepare BOQ quantity sheets.
- Verify site measurements.
- Check work executed against BOQ.
- Identify excess or short quantities.
- Prepare quantity reconciliation reports.
- Maintain item-wise quantity tracking.
Documentation
- Maintain Measurement Books (MB).
- Prepare abstract sheets.
- Maintain bill registers.
- Record work completion certificates.
- Maintain approved drawings.
- Maintain revised drawings.
- Record change orders.
- Maintain variation records.
- Maintain client correspondence related to billing.
Coordination
- Coordinate with Site Engineers.
- Coordinate with Planning Engineers.
- Coordinate with Quality Engineers.
- Coordinate with Store Department.
- Coordinate with Survey Team.
- Coordinate with Client Engineers.
- Coordinate with Consultants.
- Coordinate with Accounts Department.
Cost Control
- Monitor BOQ consumption.
- Compare planned vs executed quantities.
- Prepare material reconciliation reports.
- Identify wastage.
- Monitor budget consumption.
- Assist in cost analysis.
- Prepare quantity variance reports.
Contract Management
- Study contract documents.
- Understand technical specifications.
- Interpret BOQ items.
- Verify applicable rates.
- Prepare claims for additional work.
- Prepare escalation calculations where applicable.
- Assist in dispute resolution with proper documentation.
Reporting
Prepare periodic reports including:
- Daily Billing Progress
- Weekly Billing Status
- Monthly Billing Summary
- Quantity Progress Report
- Payment Tracking Report
- Pending Certification Report
- Variation Register
- Extra Item Register
- Contractor Payment Status
- Client Outstanding Report

Qualifications
- B.Tech/B.E. in Civil Engineering, or
- Diploma in Civil Engineering
Experience
- Junior Billing Engineer: 0–2 Years
- Billing Engineer: 2–5 Years
- Senior Billing Engineer: 5+ Years
Experience in infrastructure projects such as water supply, sewerage, buildings, roads, bridges, pipelines, EPC projects, industrial works, or government contracts is preferred.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
