Job Overview
The Director, Talent will serve as a strategic advisor to the Managing Director, India, and India‑based leaders, partnering closely with Global Talent Management and functional stakeholders to align and execute enterprise talent priorities locally. This role is responsible for delivering end‑to‑end talent support across the employee lifecycle—including workforce planning, recruitment strategy and onboarding, total rewards alignment, performance management, employee development and career coaching, and employee relations—while ensuring global frameworks are effectively localized and adopted to drive consistency, engagement, and business impact.

Responsibilities
- Support growth via organizational design and planning, building accountability and structuring ways of working and making decisions.
- You will engage in assisting in planning, development, and implementation strategy in attracting, retaining, and developing employees in India.
- Provide HR functional leadership in people and organizational areas, making valuable contributions to strategic and operational business decisions.
- Support delivery of the people strategy within the business area through the identification and development of targeted HR interventions
- Actively participate in planning and strategy development for the business area and provide people strategy plans to support business goals.
- Ensure understanding, communication, and implementation of the HR principles and processes across teams while ensuring smooth HR operational delivery.
- Equip the organization with the right capabilities and drive talent by planning processes relevant to the business strategy and context.
- Deliver as a change agent and coach managers on how to handle change, engage employees, and build capabilities adequately.
- Collaborate with global, regional, and local HR teams to evolve the functions in terms of quality of talent and effective organization design.
- Lead HR projects/initiatives to enrich the iCIMS India team in conjunction with the Global Talent Management team’s priorities and initiatives
- Provide local guidance and consultation for processes such as formal performance improvement, management, employer-initiated terminations, and investigations in partnership with business unit HRBPs and legal counsel.
- Serve as a liaison between employees and management to counsel on employee relations matters to maintain a productive and positive work environment.
- Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and organizational planning.
- Act as a trusted advisor to India business leaders.
Qualifications
- 10-12 years of progressive HR Leadership experience in India, preferable in a technology or product-focused environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience operating in a dynamic, matrixed environment with consistent growth and change.
- Demonstrated experience in partnering with business leaders to drive outcomes via talent and HR initiatives and support.
- Strong communication skills with English fluency.
- Demonstrated leadership of change management.
- Broad knowledge of recruitment, compensation, organizational planning, employee relations, and training and development is required.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced, ever changing environment.
- Self motivated and willing to do what is necessary to get the job done.
- Collaborative mindset with ability to facilitate discussion as well as, identify, and implement alternatives or different approaches.
