About ResQBag

ResQBag is a food-tech startup on a mission to fight food waste at its root — by connecting surplus food from restaurants and vendors directly to consumers who need or want it. We believe good food shouldn't go to landfills when it can go to plates. As we grow, our social media presence is one of the biggest levers for building awareness, trust, and community around our mission — and we're looking for someone who can bring that presence to life.

About the Role

We're looking for a Social Media Handler Intern to take ownership of ResQBag's social media presence end-to-end — from content creation to execution to performance-driven growth. This isn't a "post and forget" role: you'll be responsible for planning what goes out, actually creating it, publishing it, and then using engagement and reach data to keep improving it. You'll work closely with the founders to make sure everything reflects ResQBag's brand voice while constantly experimenting with new formats and ideas to grow our audience.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and create engaging content (posts, reels, stories, captions) across social platforms aligned with ResQBag's brand voice and mission
Execute the content calendar — scheduling and publishing posts consistently across all active platforms
Run day-to-day community management: responding to comments, DMs, and engaging with followers
Track key social metrics (reach, engagement, follower growth) and adjust content strategy based on performance
Stay on top of social media trends, formats, and platform updates, and adapt them creatively for ResQBag
Collaborate with founders and the marketing team to align social content with ongoing campaigns and brand launches
Maintain visual and tonal consistency across all social handles
Support paid or boosted post experiments, if applicable, to test audience growth strategies

Required Qualifications

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Media Studies, or a related field
Prior experience managing a social media page (personal, college, brand, or internship) is a strong plus

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong understanding of major social platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, and others relevant to ResQBag's audience)
Basic content creation skills — writing captions, shooting/editing short-form video, or designing simple graphics
Familiarity with tools like Canva, CapCut, or similar content creation apps
Creative thinking with an eye for what makes content stop the scroll
Consistency and discipline to manage a regular posting schedule independently
Comfortable working remotely and communicating proactively with founders

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with short-form video content (Reels/Shorts) creation and editing
Familiarity with social media analytics/insights tools
Prior experience with a startup or founder-led brand

Compensation & Work Details

Incentives: Performance-based incentives tied to content performance and audience growth
