About the Role :
We are looking to hire a an Analyst-level Software Engineer who understands the software development lifecycle very well. The individual The individual will design, develop, test, and maintain backend-focused software applications, APIs, data workflows, and analytical tools. The role will also involve working closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into practical technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain software components in line with functional and technical requirements
Develop backend services, APIs, data-processing workflows, and automation solutions using Python.
Contribute to full-stack applications, with a primary focus on backend development and limited front-end development.
Work with structured and unstructured data to support analytics, reporting, and AI-enabled solutions.
Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, document use cases, and translate business needs into technical solutions.
Investigate technical and data-related issues, perform root-cause analysis, and recommend scalable solutions.
Support automation efforts by contributing to test scripts and reusable validation frameworks where applicable
Monitor application behaviour, analyse root causes of issues, and recommend improvements to quality and reliability
Use tools such as Git and defect tracking platforms to support collaborative delivery and testing processes
Required Skills
Core Technical Skills
Strong programming fundamentals and hands-on experience with Python and SQL are required.
Knowledge of React/Java is a good to have.
Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing lifecycle (STLC)
Knowledge of manual testing, defect tracking, and test case design
Familiarity with test automation concepts and tools such as Selenium or similar frameworks
Experience with version control systems and collaborative development workflows
Awareness of API testing, integration testing concepts, and quality assurance best practices
Understanding of REST APIs, databases, data pipelines, and application integration.
Basic knowledge of React, JavaScript, TypeScript, or another front-end technology is beneficial.
Familiarity with data analysis, AI, machine learning, or generative AI concepts is beneficial.
