Full job description

Manage day-to-day accounting and financial recordkeeping for ensuring accurate books, timely reporting, compliance with statutory requirements, and support for finance operations (billing, collections, payments).

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain general ledger: record journal entries, reconcile accounts, and post accruals and adjustments.
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and supporting schedules.
Manage accounts receivable: prepare and issue invoices, track collections, reconcile customer accounts, assist in aging & recovery.
Manage accounts payable: process vendor invoices, verify GRNs/POs, schedule payments and reconcile supplier statements.
Reconcile bank accounts and maintain cashbook; prepare bank reconciliation statements.
Assist with budgeting, variance analysis, cost tracking and monthly financial closings.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/Accounting/Finance (CA Inter/ICWA part-qualified or full qualification preferred).
2–5 years’ accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing, steel, or trading environments.
Hands-on experience with GST, TDS, payroll and statutory compliance.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, and statutory compliance.
Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or equivalent) and MS Excel.
Attention to detail, accuracy and strong numerical skills.
Maintain fixed asset register and process depreciation entries.
Support internal controls: ensure documentation, approval workflows and adherence to company policies.
Provide data and reports for audits; coordinate with external auditors during periodic audits.
