About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Account Associate to support the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of our education institute. The role will involve maintaining student fee records, handling accounting entries, supporting fee collection and reconciliation, and assisting the finance team with regular reporting and documentation.

The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of accounting principles, strong attention to detail, and preferably experience with Tally/Zoho Books or similar accounting software.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate day-to-day accounting records and financial transactions.
Record student fee collections, refunds, discounts, and other financial transactions.
Maintain and reconcile student fee accounts and outstanding payment records.
Follow up with the concerned teams regarding pending student fee collections.
Prepare invoices, receipts, payment confirmations, and other accounting documents.
Perform bank, cash, and ledger reconciliations.
Verify and record purchase bills, expenses, and vendor payments.
Assist in accounts payable and receivable activities.
Maintain proper documentation of financial transactions.
Support monthly and periodic financial reporting.
Coordinate with the HR, Academic, Admission, and Administration teams regarding financial information.
Ensure timely updating of accounting records in the ERP/accounting system.
Assist in preparing data required for audits and management reviews.
Monitor outstanding receivables and support timely collection.
Ensure compliance with internal financial procedures and controls.
Perform other accounting and finance-related duties assigned by the management.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Student Fee Management

Maintain accurate student-wise fee records.
Track paid, pending, overdue, and refunded amounts.
Reconcile collections with system records and bank statements.
Coordinate with the admission/accounts team for discrepancies.

Accounts & Reconciliation

Daily transaction posting.
Bank and cash reconciliation.
Ledger verification.
Expense and vendor bill recording.
Accounts receivable and payable support.

Reporting & Documentation

Prepare daily/weekly/monthly financial reports as required.
Maintain proper accounting files and supporting documents.
Provide accurate financial information to management.

Required Qualifications

CMA (India) / CA Intermediate qualified
1–2 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance is preferred.
Freshers with strong accounting knowledge may also be considered.
Good understanding of basic accounting principles.
Working knowledge of Tally / Zoho Books / ERP accounting software.
Good knowledge of MS Excel / Google Sheets.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and coordination skills.
