About the Role

Cogniter Technologies is looking for an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager – SaaS to join our growing sales team in Chandigarh.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in SaaS sales, international business development, lead generation, client acquisition, and deal closure, with strong experience working with clients in the USA and other international markets.

We are looking for a proactive sales professional with a strong hunter mindset, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
- Identify and generate new business opportunities through cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn prospecting, market research, networking, and other outbound sales channels.
- Identify, engage, and develop prospective clients across the USA and other international markets.
- Build, manage, and continuously expand a qualified sales pipeline to achieve revenue and business growth targets.
- Research target accounts, identify key decision-makers, and develop account-specific outreach strategies.
- Conduct discovery calls to understand prospects' business challenges, requirements, and objectives.
- Identify opportunities where SaaS and technology solutions can deliver measurable business value.
- Conduct product presentations, solution walkthroughs, and SaaS demonstrations for prospective clients.
- Plan and execute targeted email and outbound sales campaigns to generate qualified leads and sales opportunities.
- Manage the complete sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification to presentation, negotiation, and closure.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, decision-makers, and key stakeholders.
- Prepare proposals, quotations, presentations, and other sales-related documentation.
- Negotiate commercial terms and close high-value deals while ensuring alignment between client expectations and business objectives.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, sales activities, follow-ups, and client interactions in CRM systems.
- Collaborate with technical, product, and delivery teams to ensure effective solution positioning and smooth communication throughout the sales process.
- Monitor market trends, customer requirements, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities to identify new avenues for business growth.
- Consistently achieve and exceed individual and organizational sales targets.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5–8 years of proven experience in Business Development, SaaS Sales, B2B Sales, or a related field.
- Demonstrated track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong experience in international sales, preferably with clients in the USA.
- Proven expertise in lead generation, prospecting, cold calling, email outreach, and sales pipeline management.
- Strong understanding of the complete SaaS sales lifecycle, from lead generation and qualification through negotiation and closure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong presentation, persuasion, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to confidently communicate with CXOs, founders, business owners, and senior decision-makers.
- Customer-focused approach with the ability to understand client pain points and position relevant solutions.
- Strong business acumen, analytical thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Highly self-motivated, proactive, target-oriented, and results-driven.
- Strong hunter mentality with the ability to independently identify and pursue new opportunities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven, and performance-oriented environment.
