The BCF Automation Manager will be a highly collaborative member of the BCF. This exceptional team member will support BMS’s business controls activities in BMS’s Hyderabad CoE, and demonstrate the following attributes:
Expertise in driving analytical and creative solutions using innovative techniques and automation tools (specific tools noted in the requirements section below)
Deep understanding of the business landscape, market trends, and industry dynamics
Outstanding ability to forge strong partnerships across the organization to provide insights and guidance to cross-functional teams
Open communication and cooperation to ensure BCF activities are executed seamlessly
Successful candidates will possess excellent leadership skills, inspiring and motivating team members to deliver exceptional results.
A minimum of 5-7 years of experience is required.
The position will be based in the BMS’s Hyderabad Location (expected 50% in-person).
Execute control automation roadmap aligned to transformation initiatives, SOX control automation and BCF activities
Strong project management capabilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-changing environment
Enable continuous controls monitoring capabilities using analytics and rule-based testing across high-risk processes.
Partner with IT to ensure control-relevant system features are enabled (system workflows, configuration checks, etc.).
Drive simplification of finance processes to reduce control complexity
Leverage enabling technologies to automate and monitor controls through design and test procedures
Ensure automation solutions meet SOX controls requirements, maintain audit-ready documentation, and support internal/external audits.
Drive adoption through communication and measure outcomes (reduce manual effort, reduce time commitment, cost savings)
Provides training and technical guidance to BCF team members on automations and associated process changes
Holds self and others to timelines, quality, and accuracy
Develops strong relationships with all stakeholders to understand processes and controls and identify opportunities to automate
A minimum of 7-9 years of experience
Compliance and controls experience within the pharmaceutical industry preferred
Public accounting experience preferred
Knowledge of key accounting processes and systems
Fluency in written and spoken English
Experience with process improvement (including process automation) and improvement frameworks (e.g., Agile, Lean)
Proven track record of successfully implementing automations and continuous improvement plans
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong relationship management skills
Adaptability and ability to manage change
Customer-first mindset
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Ability to drive collaboration with senior leaders
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Familiarity with SAP and SAP related applications such as SAP Datasphere and SAP analytic cloud
Experience with automation and analytical tools and scripting languages (e.g., Alteryx, robotics tools, , Power BI, SQL Report Writer, etc. )
Experience with Microsoft Co-Pilot 365
Familiarity with Workiva
