Amazon E-Commerce Performance & Statistical Analyst

Job Type: Full-Time | Remote | Contract
Compensation: $6–$8 USD/hour + Performance-Based Bonus
Location: Remote
Expected Start Date: Early September 2026

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Amazon E-Commerce Performance & Statistical Analyst to analyze Amazon advertising, sales, and profitability data and provide actionable business insights to the U.S. management team.

This is a data analysis and business performance role, not an Amazon campaign-management or implementation position.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze Amazon sales, advertising, and profitability data at the ASIN level.
Monitor key metrics including Ad Sales, Total Sales, Ad Spend, TACoS, ACoS, ROAS, Impressions, Clicks, CTR, CPC, Purchases, Detail Page Views, and New-to-Brand Orders.
Analyze net margin and contribution profitability by ASIN.
Identify declining margins and investigate potential causes.
Conduct trend analysis, forecasting, benchmarking, and event-performance analysis.
Maintain historical Excel datasets and performance reports.
Analyze events such as Prime Day and use historical insights for future planning.
Identify business opportunities and performance issues.
Clearly communicate what changed, why it changed, the financial impact, and recommended actions.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Statistical Analysis, Applied Statistics, or a closely related statistics-focused field.
3+ years of professional experience in statistical/data analysis.
Advanced Excel skills – mandatory.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong written and professional spoken English.
Ability to work independently and communicate findings clearly.
Availability for at least 50% overlap with 8:00 AM–4:00 PM U.S. Eastern Time.

Preferred Qualifications

Amazon Seller Central experience.
Amazon Advertising experience.
E-commerce sales and profitability analysis.
ASIN-level performance analysis.

SQL, Python, Power BI, Tableau, or programming experience is NOT required.

Practical Assessment

Shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a hands-on Excel and statistical analysis assessment using anonymized Amazon advertising, sales, ASIN, and profitability data.

The assessment will evaluate the candidate's ability to:

Identify trends and performance problems
Find business opportunities
Analyze financial impact
Provide practical business recommendations
