SaaS Sales Development Representative (SDR) Intern

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and results-oriented SaaS Sales Development Representative (SDR) Intern to join our sales team. This role is ideal for freshers or candidates with up to 1 year of experience who are interested in B2B SaaS sales, lead generation, business development, and client acquisition.

As an SDR Intern, you will be responsible for identifying potential business prospects, conducting outbound outreach, qualifying leads, and scheduling meetings for the sales team.

Key Responsibilities

Research and identify potential B2B clients and decision-makers.
Generate qualified leads through LinkedIn, email, databases, online research, and other channels.
Conduct outbound calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach to prospective clients.
Understand prospects' business requirements and identify potential SaaS opportunities.
Qualify leads based on business needs, budget, authority, and timelines.
Schedule discovery calls and product demonstrations with qualified prospects.
Maintain accurate lead and activity records in CRM systems.
Follow up consistently with prospects and nurture potential opportunities.
Coordinate with the Sales/Business Development team to move qualified leads through the sales pipeline.
Prepare basic prospect information and meeting briefs for Account Executives or Sales Managers.
Track daily outreach activities, conversations, meetings, and conversions.
Stay updated on SaaS products, industry trends, competitors, and target markets.
Achieve assigned daily/weekly/monthly lead-generation and meeting-booking targets.

Required Skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Good interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Basic understanding of B2B sales and lead generation.
Comfortable making outbound calls and communicating with prospective clients.
Good research and internet-searching skills.
Proficiency in MS Office/Google Workspace.
Familiarity with LinkedIn and CRM tools is an advantage.
Ability to handle rejection and maintain a consistent follow-up approach.
Strong learning attitude and willingness to work in a target-driven environment.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Graduate or pursuing graduation in Business, Marketing, Management, Commerce, or a related field.
Freshers are welcome to apply.
Candidates with 0–1 year of experience in SaaS Sales, Inside Sales, Telecalling, Lead Generation, Business Development, or B2B Sales will be preferred.
Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
Candidates interested in building a long-term career in SaaS Sales / Business Development are preferred.
