About the Role
Air-O-Service is looking for an experienced and technically strong Senior AC Technician to handle installation, servicing, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and commissioning of commercial HVAC and air-conditioning systems.
The ideal candidate should be highly proficient in 3-phase electrical systems and have strong hands-on experience with VRV/VRF systems, chillers, package units, ductable ACs, split ACs, cassette ACs, AHUs, FCUs, and other commercial HVAC equipment.
The candidate should be capable of independently diagnosing complex technical problems, carrying out repairs, leading junior technicians, and handling commercial sites professionally.
Key Responsibilities1. HVAC Installation & Commissioning
- Installation, testing, commissioning, and servicing of commercial air-conditioning and HVAC systems.
- Carry out installation and commissioning of VRV/VRF systems, chillers, AHUs, FCUs, ductable units, package units, cassette ACs, split ACs and other HVAC equipment.
- Perform refrigerant piping, brazing, pressure testing, vacuuming, refrigerant charging, leak testing and system commissioning.
- Check system performance and ensure equipment operates according to manufacturer specifications.
- Read and understand HVAC layouts, piping drawings, wiring diagrams and equipment specifications.
2. Troubleshooting & Breakdown Maintenance
- Independently diagnose electrical, mechanical and refrigeration-related faults.
- Troubleshoot single-phase and predominantly 3-phase AC systems.
- Identify faults in compressors, motors, contactors, relays, capacitors, PCBs, sensors, thermostats, expansion valves, solenoid valves, pumps, fans and other HVAC components.
- Diagnose high-pressure, low-pressure, overheating, undercooling, refrigerant leakage and compressor-related problems.
- Attend emergency breakdown calls and restore systems within the required timeline.
- Conduct root-cause analysis for recurring failures.
3. Chiller Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience with air-cooled and/or water-cooled chillers.
- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of chillers.
- Troubleshoot compressor, condenser, evaporator, chilled-water and condenser-water systems.
- Check operating pressures, temperatures, flow, current, voltage and other operating parameters.
- Diagnose and resolve chiller alarms and operational faults.
- Coordinate with the senior engineering/operations team for major repairs and component replacement.
4. VRV / VRF Systems
- Strong hands-on experience in VRV/VRF installation, servicing and troubleshooting.
- Diagnose communication errors, sensor faults, refrigerant-related issues and PCB/inverter-related faults.
- Check indoor and outdoor units, branch piping, electronic expansion valves and control systems.
- Carry out refrigerant recovery, evacuation, charging and leak testing.
- Understand basic VRV/VRF error codes and diagnostic procedures.
5. Electrical & 3-Phase Systems
- Strong knowledge of single-phase and 3-phase electrical systems used in commercial HVAC equipment.
- Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams and control circuits.
- Check voltage, current, phase sequence, phase imbalance, continuity, insulation and other electrical parameters.
- Troubleshoot contactors, overload relays, MCBs, MCCBs, capacitors, relays, motors, starters, control panels and electrical connections.
- Safely isolate electrical equipment before carrying out maintenance or repair.
- Identify electrical faults and determine whether components require repair or replacement.
6. Refrigeration Work
- Perform refrigerant charging and recovery.
- Carry out vacuuming, pressure testing and leak detection.
- Perform brazing and copper piping work.
- Understand refrigerant pressures and operating parameters.
- Identify refrigerant leakage and restrictions in the refrigeration circuit.
- Maintain proper refrigerant handling and ensure systems are charged according to requirements.
7. Preventive Maintenance
- Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance of commercial HVAC equipment.
- Inspect compressors, motors, coils, filters, fans, electrical panels, refrigerant circuits and controls.
- Clean condenser and evaporator coils where required.
- Check operating parameters and identify potential failures before breakdown.
- Maintain proper service and preventive-maintenance records.
8. Team Handling
- Lead and guide junior AC technicians and helpers at site.
- Allocate technical tasks to team members as required.
- Verify the quality of work carried out by junior technicians.
- Train junior technicians on proper troubleshooting, maintenance and safety procedures.
- Take responsibility for the technical execution of assigned jobs.
9. Site & Customer Handling
- Attend commercial customer sites professionally.
- Understand customer complaints and diagnose the actual technical issue.
- Explain technical problems and recommended solutions to the operations team/customer when required.
- Maintain professional behaviour at client premises.
- Ensure work areas are kept clean and safe after completion.
10. Service Documentation
- Prepare accurate service reports after every site visit.
- Record equipment condition, fault identified, work carried out, parts replaced and pending requirements.
- Record readings such as voltage, current, pressure and temperature wherever applicable.
- Provide photographs and technical updates to the operations team.
- Immediately report major faults, safety concerns and material requirements.

Candidate Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in commercial HVAC/AC servicing.
- Strong practical knowledge of 3-phase electrical systems is essential.
- Good hands-on experience with VRV/VRF and chillers is strongly preferred.
- Should be able to independently diagnose and resolve technical problems.
- Should be comfortable working at commercial sites, rooftops, plant rooms and other HVAC service locations.
- Ability to read basic electrical and HVAC diagrams.
- Should be willing to travel to customer sites across Noida, Delhi NCR and nearby locations.
- Good communication and customer-handling skills.
- Should be physically fit and comfortable working in challenging site conditions.
- ITI / Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Electrical, Mechanical or related trade will be an advantage.
Preferred Experience
Preference will be given to candidates who have experience working on:
VRV/VRF + Chillers + 3-Phase Commercial HVAC + Electrical Troubleshooting
Experience with reputed HVAC brands and commercial installations will be an added advantage.

Core Expectation
The Senior AC Technician should be capable of independently handling complex commercial HVAC jobs, particularly 3-phase systems, VRV/VRF and chillers, while also guiding junior technicians and ensuring high-quality service execution at customer sites.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
