About the Role
We are looking for a highly curious, technically capable and AI-native AI & Automation Engineer.
This role is ideal for a fresher or early-career developer who has grown up using modern AI tools and enjoys figuring things out independently.
You will work alongside a Senior Product Engineer to build internal business applications, AI-powered tools, automations, integrations and experimental software products.
We are not looking only for someone who has completed a computer science degree or knows a particular programming language.
We are looking for someone who loves building things.
If you frequently experiment with ChatGPT, Claude, Codex, Cursor, n8n, APIs, automation platforms, open-source AI tools or small applications simply because you are curious about what you can create, you may be a strong fit for this role.
What You Will Do
You will help build and maintain:
- Web applications
- Internal business tools
- AI-powered applications
- Automation workflows
- APIs and integrations
- Dashboards
- Database-driven applications
- WhatsApp integrations
- Google Workspace automations
- Data-processing workflows
- AI agents and assistants
You will work under the guidance of a Senior Product Engineer while gradually taking ownership of complete modules and smaller products.
AI-First Development
AI tools will be part of your everyday development workflow.
You should either already use or be eager to become highly proficient with tools such as:
- Claude
- Claude Code
- ChatGPT
- OpenAI Codex
- Cursor
- GitHub Copilot
- Gemini
- OpenRouter
You should be comfortable using AI to:
- Generate code
- Debug problems
- Learn unfamiliar technologies
- Understand documentation
- Refactor code
- Write tests
- Build integrations
- Explore different approaches to solving problems
We expect you to use AI aggressively to improve productivity, while gradually developing strong programming fundamentals so that you can understand and verify what the AI generates.
Automation & Integration
A major part of this role will involve connecting different applications and services.
You may build workflows such as:
WhatsApp -> Webhook -> n8n -> Database -> AI Model -> Google Sheet -> Email / Dashboard
You should therefore have strong interest in:
- APIs
- Webhooks
- Automation
- System integrations Data movement
- Workflow design
Experience with n8n is highly desirable.
Experience with Zapier, Make, Pipedream or similar tools is also useful.
Google Workspace Automation
Since many of our business processes use Google Workspace, experience or interest in the following will be valuable:
- Google Sheets
- Google Apps Script
- Google Drive APIs
- Gmail APIs
- Google Forms
- Google Workspace automation
Programming Skills
You should have basic programming knowledge in at least one of:
- JavaScript / TypeScript
- Python
Basic knowledge of the following is highly desirable:
- HTML / CSS

- SQL
- PostgreSQL
- REST APIs
- JSON
- Git / GitHub
You do not need to be an expert in all of these.
However, you should be capable of learning quickly and using documentation and AI tools to solve unfamiliar problems.

- Enjoys automation and connecting different systems.
- Has basic coding fundamentals.
- Understands APIs or is keen to learn them.
- Is comfortable working in a fast-moving environment.
- Is not afraid of technologies they have never used before.
- Can explain how something they built actually works.

Pay: ₹480,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Kolkata, West Bengal
