Your Role
In this role, you will not just sell instruments—you’ll serve as a trusted advisor to researchers, ensuring they achieve their goals with BioLogic’s solutions. You’ll connect scientific challenges to technical possibilities, building long-term relationships based on trust and expertise.
What You’ll Do
1. Drive Sales Growth and Market Development
o Achieve and exceed sales targets by identifying new opportunities and building relationships with researchers, engineers, and decision-makers.
o Strengthen network in assigned region by engaging with academic institutions, R&D centres, and industrial clients.
o Drive the end-to-end sales process, from generating leads to closing deals, including handling tenders, post-tender discussions till purchase order and ensuring timely customer payments with support from accounts team.
2. Field Engagement:
o Actively visit customers, conduct on-site demonstrations, and provide technical consultations to showcase the value of the products.
o Build strong, lasting relations with key stakeholders, including researchers, lab managers, and procurement teams.
3. Be a Trusted Partner to Customers:
o Act as a technical advisor, offering tailored solutions that align with customer needs and research goals and help them achieve research excellence in fields like energy storage and electrochemical analysis by using our instruments.
o Champion Application-Based Selling by guiding customers through application-based solutions for electrochemistry and battery research challenges and establish yourself as a partner in their success.
4. Collaborate and Grow:
o Work closely with the National Sales Manager and cross-functional teams (marketing, applications, and service) to align sales strategies and customer support.
o Partner with team members and reputed institutions to conduct engaging technical workshops
o Provide market insights and feedback to refine product offerings and enhance strategies.
5. Reporting & Administration:
o Maintain accurate records of sales activities, opportunities, forecasts and client interactions in CRM.
o Prepare regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, and market analysis.
6. Travel and Engage:
o Spend up to 70% of your time traveling to customer sites, research facilities, and events, building strong relationships and delivering hands-on support.
Who We’re Looking For
o 3–8 years of experience in sales or business development, ideally in scientific instruments or research.
o Strong understanding of the assigned territory and prior experience working with institutions in the region is a significant advantage.
o Any background in corrosion, battery research or energy storage technologies is highly preferred.
o Qualifications in Electrochemistry, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field is an advantage.
Skills:
o Knowledge of electrochemistry instruments and their applications is preferred
o Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills to engage with technical and non-technical audiences.
o A proactive, organized and collaborative approach, with ability to build trust and credibility with clients and team.
o Willingness to travel (up to 70% of the time) to meet with customers, conduct demonstrations, and attend events.
o Fluent in English and Hindi; additional local language (of the assigned territory) skills are a plus.
