Full job description

Summary:

As a Software Development Engineer 1 in our organization, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining web applications using the Django framework and Python. You will work closely with senior developers and cross-functional teams to contribute to the growth and success of our software projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Web Development: Design and develop web applications using Python and the Django web framework.
Frontend Integration: Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure smooth integration of user interfaces with backend logic.
Database Management: Work with databases, including but not limited to PostgreSQL, to store and manage application data.
Code Quality: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices, and actively participate in code reviews.
Testing: Create and execute unit tests and integration tests to ensure the reliability and quality of the software.
Documentation: Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation of the codebase, APIs, and application architecture.
Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve software issues and bugs as they arise during development.
Collaboration: Collaborate with product managers, quality assurance engineers, and other developers to deliver high-quality web applications.
Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest developments in Python, Django, and web development technologies.
Code Maintenance: Participate in code maintenance, optimization, and refactoring efforts to improve application performance and scalability.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Strong programming skills in Python.
Familiarity with the Django web framework.
Knowledge of web development concepts, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Basic understanding of databases and SQL.
Problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
