Job Title: Deed Writer / Legal Documentation Professional

Location: 8/4, East Patel Nagar, New Delhi – 110008
Experience: No preference (fresher to experienced, both welcome)

About the Opportunity

An independent advocate's office located in East Patel Nagar, is offering cabin space to a legal documentation professional / deed writer. This is a unique opportunity for someone with an established or growing practice in legal drafting to operate from a professional office setup rather than working out of a shop-front or shared space near court complexes.

The successful candidate will run their own independent documentation practice from the cabin, serving their own clients, while benefiting from a proper office environment, professional address, and proximity to the court and registrar offices.

Nature of Work

The role is focused entirely on legal documentation and drafting, including but not limited to:

Sale deeds
Agreements to sell
Rent agreements / leave and license agreements
Wills
General Power of Attorney (GPA) and Special Power of Attorney (SPA)
Gift deeds
Partnership deeds
Affidavits and declarations
Other property-related and general legal documents as required by clients

Key Responsibilities

Drafting legally sound documents as per client requirements, ensuring accuracy in property descriptions, party details, consideration amounts, and applicable clauses
Calculating and advising on correct stamp duty as per Delhi stamp duty rates and registration requirements
Coordinating with clients for document execution, witness requirements, and registration formalities
Liaising with the Sub-Registrar's Office (SRO) for registration of documents where required
Maintaining proper records and copies of all documents drafted
Ensuring compliance with the Registration Act, 1908, Indian Stamp Act, and other applicable laws
Managing own client base and appointments independently

Requirements

Prior experience as a deed writer, documentation clerk, or legal drafting professional preferred; freshers with strong drafting knowledge may also apply
Good command over drafting language in English and/or Hindi
Proficiency in MS Word and typing (English/Hindi)
Own laptop/computer preferred (shared printer/internet facility available at the office)
Existing client base is an advantage but not mandatory
Should be based in or able to commute regularly to East Patel Nagar.

Arrangement Details

This position is not a traditional salaried role. Two structures are open for discussion depending on candidate profile:

Cabin Rent (Leave & License basis): Candidate pays a monthly license fee for use of the cabin and basic office facilities (internet, printer, seating), and operates their documentation practice independently. No employer-employee relationship is created. Candidate is solely responsible for their own client dealings, billing, and the legal accuracy of documents they draft.
Partnership (case-by-case discussion): For candidates with an established, high-volume documentation practice, a partnership or revenue-sharing arrangement may be discussed separately, subject to mutually agreed terms.

Interested candidates are encouraged to discuss their preferred arrangement, expected client volume, and experience during the initial conversation.
