About the Role
As the Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for leading the software development team, ensuring high-quality technical delivery, and driving engineering best practices across multiple products. You will work closely with Product, Project Management, and stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable, and innovative solutions.
This role requires a balance of technical expertise, leadership, mentoring, and delivery management. You will serve as the primary technical leader for the engineering team while fostering a culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers.
- Plan, assign, and monitor development tasks across projects.
- Remove technical blockers and support the team in delivering sprint commitments.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance engineering culture.
Technical Leadership
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for cross-functional teams.
- Guide architectural decisions and ensure scalable, maintainable software solutions.
- Drive engineering best practices and technical consistency across products.
- Support technical discussions with international stakeholders.
Software Quality & Delivery
- Ensure high code quality through code reviews and Pull Request approvals.
- Establish and enforce coding standards and development best practices.
- Manage technical debt and promote continuous improvement.
- Ensure project documentation remains accurate and up to date.
- Oversee CI/CD processes and software release quality.
Sprint Planning & Project Execution
- Estimate development effort and timelines.
- Break down complex features into manageable tasks.
- Identify technical risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies.
- Support Agile planning and ensure predictable delivery.
Team Development
- Mentor and coach developers through regular code reviews and technical guidance.
- Support skill development in software architecture, troubleshooting, and AI technologies.
- Encourage knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the team.
Resource Planning & Hiring
- Allocate engineering resources effectively across products and customer projects.
- Participate in technical interviews and candidate evaluations.
- Support onboarding and mentoring of new team members.
Reporting & Communication
- Provide regular updates on sprint progress, completed work, delivery risks, blockers, and technical challenges.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Project Management, and leadership teams to ensure successful project execution.
Required Qualifications
Technical Skills
- 7+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Python
- FastAPI
- PostgreSQL
- React and/or Next.js
- REST APIs
- AWS
- Docker
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software development practices.
Leadership Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience leading software engineering teams.
- Proven experience managing Agile development, sprint planning, code reviews, mentoring, and technical decision-making.
- Experience participating in technical recruitment and onboarding.
Preferred Skills
Experience with one or more of the following is an advantage:
- Large Language Models (LLMs)
- OpenAI APIs
- Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
- Vector Databases
- AI-powered applications and workflows
Project Management Knowledge
- Solid understanding of Scrum, Kanban, and Agile methodologies.
Communication
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Comfortable collaborating with international teams and stakeholders.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
