Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive QA Analyst to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our software applications. The ideal candidate should have experience in manual testing, API testing, automation testing, database validation, and Agile development methodologies. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to identify defects, improve product quality, and support the successful delivery of software releases.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business and functional requirements and create comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
- Perform manual testing, including functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, exploratory, usability, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects through the complete defect lifecycle.
- Execute REST API testing using Postman, Swagger, or similar tools.
- Validate API requests and responses, including authentication, HTTP methods, status codes, and JSON payloads.
- Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Cypress, or similar automation frameworks.
- Perform database validation by writing SQL queries and verifying data accuracy in MySQL or PostgreSQL databases.
- Collaborate with development, product, and DevOps teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Manage testing activities and defects using JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
- Use Git for version control and support testing within CI/CD deployment pipelines.
- Perform browser-based debugging using developer tools and assist in root cause analysis.
- Continuously improve testing processes, automation coverage, and overall product quality.
Required Skills-
Manual Testing
- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Hands-on experience in functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, exploratory, usability, and UAT testing.
- Ability to create detailed test cases, test plans, test scenarios, and test execution reports.
- Experience with defect tracking, bug reporting, and defect lifecycle management.
API Testing
- Hands-on experience testing REST APIs using Postman, Swagger, or similar tools.
- Good understanding of HTTP methods, status codes, authentication mechanisms, and request/response validation.
- Experience validating JSON responses and API workflows.
Automation Testing
- Experience with Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Cypress, or similar automation frameworks.
- Ability to write, execute, and maintain automated test scripts.
- Understanding of automation framework design and CI/CD integration.
Database Testing
- Good knowledge of MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Ability to write SQL queries for data validation and verification.
- Understanding of database relationships and data integrity.
Tools & Technologies
- Experience with JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar defect management tools.
- Working knowledge of Git version control.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution.
- Familiarity with browser developer tools.
- Experience with TestRail or Zephyr is an added advantage.
Preferred Skills
- Experience testing applications built with React.js, Next.js, Node.js, or similar web technologies.
- Strong understanding of Agile testing principles, including continuous testing and shift-left testing.
- Exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter or k6.
- Knowledge of security testing fundamentals and common web vulnerabilities.
- Experience working with Azure or AWS cloud environments.
- Basic scripting knowledge in JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, or Python.
- Exposure to mobile application testing is an added advantage.
AI Skills (Good to Have)
- Familiarity with AI-assisted testing tools and intelligent test automation.
- Experience using AI tools to generate test cases, automate repetitive QA tasks, and improve test coverage.
- Basic understanding of Artificial Intelligence, Large Language Models (LLMs), and prompt engineering.
- Experience validating AI-powered features such as chatbots, OCR, document processing, or recommendation systems is an advantage.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
